She took it upon herself to learn everything about the workings of running a successful and profitable spa from creating new treatments to working with her team and was developed to be a Spa Trainer. Just after 3 years, she was offered to transfer to China for the preopening of the Banyan Tree in Shanghai followed with a stint in the Banyan Tree in Yunnan.

Thereafter, she left the Banyan Tree group to join the preopening of Mandarin Oriental, Sanya as Spa Treatment Manager in 2008 before joining the Ritz Carlton Sanya in 2012 for her first Spa Director role.  During her tenure there, Suki has established the spa at The Ritz- Carlton, Sanya as one of the best spas in Sanya. 

When the opportunity to rejoin the group came in early 2016, Suki decided to accept the offer.  She is already immersed fully into the culture of Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou and has established a great relationship with her team and regular guest.  She has also developed a comprehensive marketing plan in the hope of making The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou the best spa in Guangzhou. 

This summer, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou launched the Oriental Bamboo Clear treatment which is designed to help clear the body and mind of the daily life stresses and pollutants. Each session is designed to stimulate the senses and restore physical and mental health to optimum levels.

The treatment starts with a steam shower followed with a detoxifying foot ritual, focusing on eliminating pressure points on the feet with salt.  Thereafter, you will be enveloped in an activated charcoal and pear balsam body wrap to draw out the impurities from the body. Charcoal is a powerful aid in eliminating toxins and gas from the human system while Balsam Pear’s (also known as bitter melon or bitter gourd) is high levels of folates, Vitamin C, B-Carotene and Vitamin A aids in the detoxification of the liver and kidneys to improve the digestive system. 

While waiting for the wrap to work its wonders, a pear balsam mask is applied to the hair to bring softness and vitality back to dull hair and at the same time relieves dry and itchy scalp. To complete the treatment, a relaxing facial lymphatic drainage massage using a balancing oil and a rock crystal is performed. 

This 3-hour treatment is priced at CNY 2,480 and is subject to 10% service charge and prevailing taxes.
