Jonas graduated in Hospitality Management from Swiss Hotel Management School Lucerne and started his career in the industry as Chef apprentice in Germany. He has stayed dynamic and passionate throughout his 17-year hospitality career, and worked for Baraza Resort & Spa Zanzibar, Tanzania; Swiss-Belhotel International, Indonesia; and Amari Atrium Bangkok, Thailand as Operations Manager. In 2016, Jonas joined Kempinski as Hotel Manager at Kempinski Hotel Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. His acquired extensive operations experience has always helped him find unique and efficient tactics for hotels. Jonas will officially serve as General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Chengdu on 1 March 2019.

As General Manager for Kempinski Hotel Chengdu, Jonas is innovative and consistent when it comes to his work style, he believes in team work and the philosophy of hospitality. In his new role, he will be leading Kempinski Hotel Chengdu to further improve all stakeholder returns.
