On 5 June, World Environment Day will be toasted with a plant-based menu at Joose Café covering everything from fresh salads and Maldivian curry to pizza, and a zero-waste lunch buffet at Kula promoting the 'take only what you can eat' mantra. To further reinforce lessons in sustainability, the kids' club will host a tree-planting activity for the entire family.
Eco-friendly initiatives will continue throughout the month, including a coral-planting activity on World Ocean Day, paired with an ocean knowledge masterclass led by the Dive Center team, aiming to raise awareness about the impact of global warming on fragile coral ecosystems. The day will conclude with an engaging trivia night, with a chance to win a prize.
On Global Wellness Day, 14 June, even the most reluctant athletes will find their motivation with scenic morning runs, water sports, and healthy food masterclasses. A sunset detox party at the spa promises to undo any damage caused by indulgent poolside libations, while kids can join nature walks and playful yoga sessions. Shortly after, International Yoga Day on 21 June shifts the focus to mindful breathing and perfecting asanas, all under the guidance of professional instructors.
What’s more, Father’s Day brings bonding moments with father-son competitions and thrilling FIFA PlayStation tournaments. And from 6 to 10 June, the resort will turn its attention to Middle Eastern flavors and traditional activities as part of its Eid al-Adha celebrations.
Summer camp vol. 2
Returning for its second season, the Summer Camp for children aged 4-12 will run from 1 July to 31 August. With the Lil’ Shark Kids’ Club as the hub of activities, the youngsters will have secure and stimulating space where to learn, play and express themselves.
Nature enthusiasts will enjoy coral planting activities, while cultural immersion comes in the form of learning to play traditional Boduberu drums and crafting useful objects or necklaces from coconuts and seashells. Kids can also learn to make Maldivian snacks—a tasty dive into local heritage. Budding chefs will relish workshops that teach them to prepare pizza and sushi or decorate cookies.
Making its debut this year is the "Camera Crew" workshop to encourage kids to unleash their creativity, while karaoke sessions will let their inner performers shine. Tennis classes will return by popular demand, while dodgeball, yoga and waterpark marathons promise to keep kids energized. Meanwhile, the English Club offers a fun approach to learning the language while making friends with similarly aged holidaymakers from all over the world.
