196+ FORUM MUNICH: 25 HOTELS FROM NINE COUNTRIES APPLY FOR THE EUROPEAN "HOTEL PROPERTY AWARD 2025" (Allemagne)

The geographical range of applications spans from Reykjavik to Istanbul, from the Croatian Adriatic coast to the North Sea coast in East Frisia, through the Alps and across major European cities such as Paris, Berlin, and Vienna.
In addition to these international metropolises, hotels from Italy, Spain and Switzerland are also represented.
The wide array of concepts across diverse urban and resort destinations once again highlights the innovative strength of the hospitality industry.
Andreas Martin, Chair of the Jury, commented: “This year’s submissions once again demonstrate the tremendous range of innovative hotel concepts – from sustainable mountain resorts to creative urban hotels. Revitalized existing properties and repositioned hotels continue to play a major role, reflecting ongoing changes in the real estate sector. Resort hotels are further establishing themselves as a relevant asset class, both nationally and internationally.”
This year’s competition was open to hotels in Europe that were newly built and opened or completely renovated and repositioned after full closure between January 2024 and June 2025. During the jury meeting in early September, up to ten nominees will be selected from all submissions and presented at the 196+ forum in Munich.
The evaluation of submissions is based on the interaction of the following criteria – regardless of the hotel’s classification: architecture and design, integration into the project environment, sustainability and technical innovation, originality of the concept, and economic viability.
