Auberge Collection, the award-winning portfolio of one-of-a-kind luxury hotels, resorts, and residences, today unveils The Joy of Wellbeing – a bold new direction that redefines wellness.
Long recognized as a leader in the wellbeing space, Auberge now centers its approach on a simple foundation: joy is more than a feeling; it is a way of living well. At its heart is the belief that true wellbeing begins with meaningful connection, emotional richness, and the freedom to feel good.
Guided by the principles of Awe, Connect, Excel, and Nurture, The Joy of Wellbeing will be uniquely brought to life through the soul of each Auberge destination.
While science continues to validate what we instinctively know – that joy is good for our health – Auberge’s focus is first and foremost on the lived experience. Studies show that joy releases ‘feel-good’ neurochemicals, lowers stress hormones, strengthens immunity, and may even boost longevity, and at Auberge the priority is simple: helping guests rediscover the everyday vitality that comes from being present, connected, and joyful.
“Joy fuels our best days and creates the emotional texture that gives life meaning.” said Christian Clerc, President and CEO, Auberge Collection.
“It’s what drives connection, vitality, and presence, and it shapes every experience across Auberge Collection’s destinations – from the way guests move, rest, and connect, to how they eat, play, and rediscover what it means to feel truly joyful.”
To enhance this vision, Auberge has partnered with industry icons for the launch, including one of the most inspirational voices in wellbeing and personal growth – Gabby Bernstein. The #1 New York Times bestselling author and renowned speaker has curated a series of exclusive Joy Experiences that will be offered at all Auberge Collection properties, inviting guests to explore emotional wellbeing before, during and beyond their stay.
The Joy of Wellbeing by Auberge
In our modern age of optimization, aspirational wellbeing has become a race full of rules, tracking, and pressure. Something vital – joy, a timeless human desire and the very foundation of wellbeing – has been lost along the way. With Auberge Collection’s new approach, joy is the starting point. Reflecting the brand’s ongoing commitment to enriching people’s lives, guests are invited to linger in meaningful moments, celebrating wellbeing as an intuitive return to our human essence – simple, real, and joy-filled.
“With The Joy of Wellbeing, we’re reclaiming something essential: the presence, vitality, and soul that make us human,” said Vivianne Garcia-Tunon, Vice President, Wellbeing, Auberge Collection.
“Our concept is about progress not perfection, and about opening ourselves to joy. Our goal is to create space for people to connect deeply and rediscover the simple wonders that make life truly meaningful, way beyond their stay.”
Finding Joy in Awe, Connect, Excel, and Nurture
The unique soul of each Auberge Collection destination is the prism through which The Joy of Wellbeing and its four guiding principles – Awe, Connect, Excel, and Nurture – is expressed at each property.
Encounters with beauty and nature awaken reverence and wonder, instilling a sense of Awe. Opportunities to Connect – within, with others, and with the world around – manifest through shared meals, storytelling, and hands-on craft experiences. Through Excel, movement becomes a source of boundless energy and undiscovered pursuits become challenges that inspire growth and unlock your full potential. Through Nurture, guests are supported in caring for themselves with intention.
These four guiding principles come to life in myriad ways. They are the physical, sensory, and emotional manifestations of joy woven throughout the Auberge guest experience.
Treatment menus are handcrafted to reflect the environment, traditions, and energy of each destination and include a selection of carefully curated services. Every treatment is shaped by how the guest feels in that moment, offering a return to presence, not just performance. Curated products carry The Joy of Wellbeing into everyday life, favoring clean, natural ingredients and locally sourced brands with a story.
Immersive experiences further enrich this tapestry. Here, nature becomes a co-creator – whether exploring a tree canopy, learning to paint in watercolors beneath open skies, or exploring ancient traditions with local masters. Every detail is rooted in the authenticity of the place and given space to breathe.
Movement is also reimagined. From high-intensity sprint clinics and HIIT collaborations, to functional Pilates and rewilding treks, every session under the Excel principle is crafted to meet a guest’s individual needs.
Woven through all of this are joyful touches. These thoughtful details might be a swing hidden in a garden, a handwritten note on a pillow, or an unexpected sensory ritual that invites pause and reflection. Each is shaped by the seasons and the property’s unique locale.
Joy-Fueled Collaboration with Gabby Bernstein
Gabby Bernstein brings a powerful emotional dimension to The Joy of Wellbeing. Through a bespoke series of Joy Experiences curated with Auberge Collection, guests will shift from stress and striving to presence and peace.
Before, during, and after checking-in, guests can embark on a Joy of Wellbeing Journey via Gabby’s Coaching & Meditation app. The seven-day custom content series includes guided affirmations, connection rituals, and exercises for cultivating more joy.
Gabby and Auberge Collection have also created a new pre-treatment ritual with a guided breathing mantra, a turndown ritual offering nightly inspiration to get the most out of their getaway, and a Joy of Wellbeing Journal, a tool for daily reflection and gratitude. Together, these practices encourage guests to disconnect and be present – whether dining with loved ones, spending a quiet morning with a cup of coffee or going on an invigorating run through the vineyards of Napa or the city of Florence. Wellbeing is a bigger picture than just treatments; it’s about integrating joy into every moment.
Joyful Retreats and Residencies
New retreats and programs will strike a balance between structure and freedom, while Masters in residence – from Gabby Bernstein to Amanda Kloots – will bring new, rich and joyful experiences to each destination.
For those seeking a truly transformative experience, Gabby Bernstein will host in-person talks and retreats at select Auberge properties. On November 7, 2025, she will introduce her signature teachings at the Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection in Connecticut in An Afternoon with Gabby Bernstein: The Power of Joy. The event will include a live talk, guided meditation, and a Q&A designed to help guests shift from fear to flow and reconnect with their joy.
The Joy of Wellbeing Retreat is another opportunity to learn directly from Bernstein herself. Set for April 30–May 3, 2026, at The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Collection in Park City, Utah, the three-day retreat will incorporate spiritual teachings, guided meditations, emotional healing practices, and wild, embodied movement.
Amanda Kloots, celebrated fitness personality and co-host of The Talk, will bring her uplifting spirit and high-energy teaching style to a series of movement programs launching across select Auberge properties. Combining cardio, strength, and intentional joy, her workouts are as emotionally nourishing as they are physically empowering. The first retreat will take place at Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, Auberge Collection in Los Cabos from November 29-December 1, 2025.
The Joy of Wellbeing in Practice
As always with Auberge, theory becomes practice, and this new philosophy is already deeply infused across the collection.
At The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Collection, the Connect principle comes to life with the Gracie’s Farm Dinner Series, where guests gather under open skies to share seasonal meals with local farmers and chefs.
At Wildflower Farms, Auberge Collection in Hudson Valley, Excel is embodied in their quarterly high impact movement retreats – high-intensity programs, designed to build strength, energy, and resilience.
In Fort Worth, Bowie House, Auberge Collection channels Nurture through the Qi Facial, a soulful treatment using gold micromagnets to lift and restore the skin and ground the spirit. And in Costa Rica, Hacienda AltaGracia, Auberge Collection offers the River Bath – an Awe-inspired ritual with aura cleansing, a detoxifying scrub and a warm herbal soak to a soundtrack of birdsong and flowing water.
The Joy of Nourishment
One of life’s simplest and greatest joys, food is approached with abundance, integrity, and intuition. Meals at Auberge are designed to nourish body and soul, offering high-protein, high-fiber options crafted from premium animal-based ingredients and vibrant, locally sourced, plant-forward options. Food is never just fuel – it’s a daily celebration of connection, culture, and care. Guests are encouraged to savor both the wholesome and the indulgent, with no need for restriction or compromise.
This conscious, joyful approach to eating extends beyond the stay itself. Celebrity nutritionist Shira Barlow, author of The Food Therapist and bestselling Substack EVEN BETTER, brings her signature functional-meets-feel-good philosophy to Auberge destinations through specially curated, take-home offerings.
Designed with Shira, Auberge’s new Nourishing Meals to Go make it easy for guests to bring the experience home, supporting sustained energy and empowered eating on travel days and beyond. With Shira’s guidance, guests leave not only feeling nourished, but more connected to their own intuition around food.
A Joyful Life, Reclaimed
By launching The Joy of Wellbeing, Auberge Collection affirms its position as a leader in how we live. At every touchpoint – from movement and rest, to nourishment, nature, and creativity – guests are invited not to escape life, but to re-enter and embrace it. Auberge Collection honors a timeless truth: that joy, when cultivated with care and intention, is one of the most powerful foundations for adding life to the years we live.
