Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts Strengthens Executive Team To Drive Growth

Following the acquisition by UOL Group Limited, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts announces key appointments to its Executive Committee in line with its growth strategy to expand its global presence and propel the hotel management company to the forefront of the industry. The new appointments will be effective immediately.

Ms Evelyn Goh Vice President, Personnel, Innovation and Education

At the helm of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts is Mr Gwee Lian Kheng as President and CEO. With more than 30 years in hotel management and operations, Mr Gwee has been with UOL Group Limited since 1973 and is also the CEO of the Group. In 2003, he was named Asia Pacific Hotelier of the Year at the Asia Pacific Hotel Investment Conference.

Mr Gwee will be assisted by an Executive Committee in the management of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. Mr Kam Tin Seah, who is presently General Manager of Investment & Strategic Development at UOL Group, will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Strategic Development. Tapping on his extensive business knowledge and experience, Mr Kam will take charge of the overall development and investment, strategic risk management as well as exploring new market opportunities.

Mr Han Chan Juan has over 15 years of experience in managing the financial equity and assets of hotels, and he will join the team as Senior Vice President of Asset Management. Reporting to Mr Han is Mr Chua Chi Min who holds the title of Vice President of Asset Management. He will be responsible for overseeing individual hotel performance and assisting them in their strategic planning and growth as well as managing partnerships with hotel owners. Together they will be responsible for the Asset Management Division, which will review and raise the levels of productivity and profitability for the Group’s business.

Also appointed to the Executive Committee, Mr Kevin Croley is promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Mr Croley is responsible for global sales and marketing strategies, branding and distribution. Recently, he has championed the enhancement of the brand’s distribution and online marketing systems, which resulted in significant system delivery.

Current General Manager of Pan Pacific Singapore Mr Scott Swank, will take on an additional portfolio as the Senior Vice President of Operations and Area General Manager. Mr Swank will continue to manage Pan Pacific Singapore and be responsible for Pan Pacific’s hotel chain’s operations across 11 countries. He will drive policy changes in line with operational trends in the hospitality industry and ensure all product and service standards are adhered to and consistency is maintained across the Group’s hotels.

With an extensive background in Human Resources, Ms Evelyn Goh is appointed as the Vice President of Personnel, Innovation and Education. Ms Goh will oversee talent management, organization learning and personnel development.

Mr Gwee said, “These new appointments will provide the strategic depth of experience and expertise in our management team. This is the team that will steer the future direction of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. As a stronger cohesive team, it will be able to take on new challenges and align the business to Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts’ strategic intent of becoming the choice brand for both guests and owners. The team is committed and ready to raise the bar on service and value to our respective stakeholders.”
