In a coordinated effort between Preferred Hotel Group’s 10 Japan hotels, the 10,000 Yen in Japan for Kizuna Ten Day Sale resulted in an amazing response from Day One, achieving an astounding 486 room nights booked. A total of 2,353 room nights were recorded by the end of the promotion. The offer was available for 10 days only between July 6 – July 15, 2011, at a super rate of JPY10,000++ per room night.

Commenting on the results of this offer, Mark Simmons, area managing director – Asia, Preferred Hotel Group said, “We were extremely proud with the outcome of this offer as were our Japan hotels. It reinforces Japan as a much sought after destination and the spurt of bookings in July increased revenues by 12% from the same month last year. It also vividly demonstrated the power of Kizuna, or bonding of our Japan hotels and Preferred Hotel Group during a time of need following the tragic events in March this year.”

Preferred Hotel Group and its 190 members worldwide had also raised over US$100,000 by selling over 755 room nights in the “Check-In for Japan” benefit sale in June. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale were donated to the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts for those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.
