THE AMERICAS

Lynn Himmelman, a former Chief Executive Officer of Westin Hotels, died at his Seattle home December 17. He was 95, and an early Cornell Hotel School graduate. In the forties, he joined what was then the budding Western International Hotels where, working from offices in Seattle's Olympic Hotel, he helped shape the company's expansion into Asia, Latin America, Canada and South Africa.

Arich Berghammer has joined Harry and Peter Morton’s Pink Taco as President. His mandate is to grow several Pink Taco restaurants and Viper Room Lounges nationwide and internationally. Berghammer comes from SBE where he held, for the past two years, the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Restaurant and Nightclub Division. Prior to joining SBE, he spent ten years with House of Blues and twelve years with King Seafood.

The Morgans Hotel Group has appointed hospitality veteran Fred Kleisner President and Chief Executive Officer. Kleisner previously served as Chief Executive Officer for Wyndham International, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Americas for Starwood Hotels & Resorts; and President and Chief Operating Officer with Westin. He had been acting as interim President and Chief Executive Officer since the abrupt departure of Morgans top man Ed Scheetz a few months ago.

Elysian Hotels and Resorts have appointed Thomas Lind Executive Vice President of Operations and Managing Director of the Elysian Hotel Chicago, scheduled to open in fall 2008. Lind spent eight years with Four Seasons, most recently as Regional Vice President and General Manager at the Four Seasons Riyadh. His previous experience also includes senior executive roles with Ritz-Carlton, Nikko, Wyndham and Hyatt.

InterContinental Hotels Group has named David Greydanus Senior Vice President, North America Operations, based in Atlanta. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Brand Management, for the Waldorf=Astoria Collection. Previously, he held various other positions for Hilton Hotels including Senior Vice President Brand Management, and Senior Vice President Operations for Embassy Suites.

Thomas Klein is taking over from retiring Francisco Gomez as Regional Vice President and General Manager of the historic Fairmont San Francisco. A slight move from sister company Raffles/Swissôtel, where he held a similar position, based in Chicago, as Senior Vice President, the Americas, and General Manager of the Swissôtel Chicago. Prior to joining Swissôtel in 2001, Klein had been a Senior Vice President for Mövenpick in Africa.

Ben Trodd has been promoted to General Manager of the Four Seasons Seattle, slated for a Summer 2008 opening. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Los Angeles. He previously served as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Palo Alto, Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Hampshire and Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons Dublin.

Guy and Dagmar Lombard have joined Le Toiny on St. Barthélémy as Co-General Managers, replacing David Henderson, who had been at the helm of the resort for the past 14 years. The Lombards come from Sir Richard Branson’s Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco, where they were Co-General Managers. Prior to that, Guy was the Managing Director of the Villa Marie in St. Tropez, while Dagmar was a Sales Manager at Paris’ Hotel Plaza-Athénée.

Hans Schmitt is the new General Manager of the Hotel Derek in Houston, taking over from Steven André. Schmitt was most recently with Noble Investments as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Previously, he has held executive positions with Interstate, HEI as well as Sheraton and Renaissance.

Ken Dittrich has been appointed Area Vice President of Gran Meliá Hotels and Resorts in the Americas and Caribbean, based in Puerto Rico. He was most recently the Managing Director of the Paradisus Puerto Rico, which was re-flagged the Gran Meliá Puerto Rico Golf Resort & Villas in May 2007.

Joseph Palmieri transfers as General Manager to the Hilton Americas-Houston. Since 1989, he had served as General Manager of the Hilton Lincoln Centre in Dallas.

Dick Brezinski has been appointed General Manager of the El Monte Sagrado in Taos. A Cornell graduate, he had been based in Denver for the past twenty years, overseeing the Renaissance Denver, the Denver West Marriott, the Denver Southeast Marriott and, most recently as General Manager of the Adam's Mark Hotel - Denver and Adam's Mountain Country Club.

Jim Nielsen has moved to the soon-to-open Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Colorado as Vice President General Manager. Most recently, he was the Assistant General Manager at the Resort at Paws Up, after joining the property in 2005 as Food and Beverage Director.

Tom Netting has been named Managing Director of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, slated for opening in February. Netting comes from the Hyatt Grand Champions in Indian Wells, where he had been the Managing Director since 2004.

Tynette Lynch has been promoted to General Manager of the Wynfrey Hotel at Riverchase Galleria in Alabama after joining the property in 2005 as Director of Sales and Marketing. She previously served as General Manager of the Mountain Brook Inn and the Holiday Inn Homewood.

Mark Stebbing has been promoted from Assistant General Manager to General Manager at the Point in Lake Placid. He previously held various positions at the Willcox in Georgia and the Lake Placid Lodge, both sister properties to the Point. Stebbing takes over for John Graham who has moved to the Lake Placid Lodge as General Manager. Megan Yates takes over for Stebbing at the Point. She was most recently in the same position at the Lake Placid Lodge.

Carlson has named Bjørn Gullaksen President, Regent Luxury Group. He was most recently the Executive Vice President for Carlson Hotels Worldwide Managed Hotels & Resorts in the Americas. He previously served as the company's Executive Vice President of Full Service Hotels, including Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts.

Isle of Capri Casinos have appointed Dale Black Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Black joins Isle of Capri Casinos following two years with Trump Entertainment Resorts as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He previously held various financial responsibilities for over twelve years with Argosy gaming.

Andrew Zinni has been named General Manager at the Costa d'Este Beach Resort in Vero Beach. He was most recently the Director of Operations at the Chattanoongan. Before joining the hotel as Director of Food and Beverage, Zinni served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Adam’s Mark in Winston-Salem and the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.

The Westin Riverfront & Spa in Avon, Colorado, has named Robert Trotter General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek. He previously managed properties such as the Hotel Monaco in Denver and the Sheraton Tacoma.

The Mohegan Sun has named Gary Van Hettinga Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He was most recently the President and General Manager of the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Lowe Hospitality has promoted Tom Luersen to Regional Managing Director, Pacific Northwest. He was previously the Managing Director of Sunriver Resort and served as Vice President, Hospitality Division, for the Woodlands Corp.

Ghee Alexander is the new General Manager of the Wyndham Princeton Forrestal Center. He previously served as General Manager of the Crowne Plaza in Melbourne, Florida and the Holiday Inn BWI Airport in Baltimore.

Two Bunch Palms Resort and Spa has named Mark Eads General Manager. He previously held various managerial positions at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, the Smoke Tree Ranch and the Francis Malbone House Inn in Rhode Island.

Brett Miller has been appointed General Manager of Nashville¹s Union Station Hotel. He was formerly the Assistant General Manager of the Hilton Nashville Downtown.

Kari Koskela has relocated to the Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C. as Hotel Manager. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Las Vegas and the Four Seasons Vancouver.

Nicolas Marquez has been named Executive Assistant Manager of Rooms at the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco. He has previously held various positions at the Peninsula Beverly Hills and Raffles L’Ermitage.

Paul Scanlon has been appointed Director of Operations of the Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, British Columbia, slated to open this month. A resident of Whistler for the past ten years, he was most recently at the Pan Pacific Whistler and Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside as Director of Operations.

James Dalmida has returned to the Virgin Islands as Director of Operations for the Westin St. John. He was most recently in the same position at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa in Santa Fe. He previously spent sixteen years on the island in various positions at Caneel Bay and for the Government of the Virgin Islands.

The Westin Galleria Dallas has named Michael Burton Director of Operations. He was most recently the Director of Rooms at the Sheraton Birmingham in Alabama. He had previously worked for Bristol Hotels and Resorts and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in a variety of positions.

Gemstone has appointed Michael Straube Regional Director of Operations, based out of the Gemstone-managed Carlton in New York City. He was most recently the Senior Vice President for the Peninsula Real Estate Group.

Scott Hagan has moved to the Somerset on Turks and Caicos as Director of Operations. For the past two years, he was the Director of Operations at the Palms (now the Regent Palms) on the same island of Providenciales. He had previously overseen rooms operations for the Hotel Gansevoort and the Regent Wall Street.

David Abraham has been named Director of Engineering for RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging Company. Since October 2002, he had held the position of VP/General Manger for the Red Jacket Mountain View resort in New Hampshire. He has previously held Engineering leadership positions for Hilton and Marriott in New England, New York, Florida, Barbados, Mexico, England and Bermuda.

Mark Symonds has joined RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging Company as Director of Technical Services. He has previously served in similar roles with Starwood, InterContinental and Hyatt.

Thomas Henseler has been appointed Corporate Food and Beverage Director for Orient Express Hotels Trains and Cruises Peru, based at the Hotel Monasterio in Cuzco. He was most recently in a similar position with the Villagroup Los Cabos.

Avinash Haksar is filling in as Acting Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons New York until a permanent successor is found for Sven Wiedenhaupt. Haksar is currently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Los Angeles. He previously held various food and beverage management positions at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, the Westin St. Francis and the Westin Century Plaza.

Brian Allen has been appointed Executive Food and Beverage Director at the Stoneleigh in Dallas. Prior to joining the Stoneleigh, he held the title of Food and Beverage Director for both the Melrose and the Driskill. Allen was also Senior Food and Beverage Manager at the Mansion on Turtle Creek, and he most recently served as Assistant Director for the Crescent Club.

Sébastien Silvestri has returned to Las Vegas as Executive Director of Food and Beverage at the Venetian. For the past year, he had served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach. Silvestri previously served in various food and beverage management positions at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort, the Mansion on Turtle Creek and the Lanesborough in London.

Robert Jenny is the new Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons St. Louis. He previously served in various food and beverage management positions at the Four Seasons New York and was most recently the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole. Sebastian Hinsch takes over for Jenny in Jackson Hole.

Daniel Krakowski has been appointed Director of Outlets at the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas. For the past three years, he had been the Director of Restaurants for Norwegian Cruise Line. He previously served as Restaurant Manager at the Belvedere in the Peninsula Beverly Hills and the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Adam Roston has joined the Pan Pacific Seattle as Regional Director of Marketing, North America for Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. Adam joins the company from the W Seattle, where he was the Director of Sales. He previously held various positions at the Four Seasons Vancouver, the Four Seasons Chicago, and the Four Seasons Toronto.

Leslie Mackillop has joined the Montage Beverly Hills, currently under construction, as Director of Sales and Marketing. She most recently held the same position at the Peninsula Beverly Hills, a property she had originally joined in 2002 as Director of Sales, West Coast, reporting to then-Director of Sales and Marketing Christine Judd.

Spencer Yeo takes over for Leslie Mackillop at the Peninsula Beverly Hills from his most recent position as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Mandarin Oriental Washington D.C. He had also served in a similar position at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London, from 2002 to 2004, following a stint as Area Director of Sales and Marketing Egypt for Conrad International. Lorna Kirwan has been promoted from Director of Sales to take over for Yeo at the Mandarin Oriental Washington, D.C.

David Dudar has returned to Atlanta as Vice President of Marketing for John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods. For the past five years, he was the Head of Marketing and Communications for Denver-based RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging Company. A Cornell graduate and Emory University MBA recipient, Dudar previously served as the Director of Brand Marketing for Park Hyatt Hotels and Head of Travel Partnership Marketing at United Airlines Mileage Plus.

Joan Esneault has been promoted to Vice President of Resort Sales for Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Connecticut. She most recently served as Executive Director of Resort Sales for the two properties after joining Foxwoods in 1999. She was previously with the Salt Lake City Marriott, Chicago O’Hare Marriott and the Minneapolis City Center Marriott.

Tara Smith is the new Director of Marketing for Palma Sola in Punta Mita, Mexico. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Wailea Beach Villas. She has previously held various sales and marketing positions for the Mountain Lodge at Telluride and the Durango Mountain Resort.

Kristen Pryor has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Westin Riverfront & Spa in Avon, Colorado. She was most recently at the JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek, where she served as Associate Director of Sales.

The Doral Golf Resort & Spa has named Velton Showell Director of Sales. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport. Previous positions held by Showell include Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Biscayne Bay, the Royal Palm Crowne Plaza and at the Hyatt national sales office.

William Wiest has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage as Director of Sales. He was most recently the Director of Group Sales at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington before it was re-branded the Langham Huntington Hotel. Wiest is also a former Director of Group Sales for the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.

The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage has appointed two new Senior Sales Managers, Jill Vaquera and Robert Susswein. Vaquera was a National Sales Manager at Bacara for the past six years. Susswein previously held various sales positions at the Peninsula New York, the Four Seasons Philadelphia and the Parker Méridien.

The Westin Copley Place has appointed Frank Guzzi Director of Sales. He was most recently with Marriott as Director of Group Strategy. His previous positions included Director of Sales for the Burlington Marriott, Senior Account Executive for the Copley Marriott and Lodging Sales System Analyst at Marriott Headquarters in Bethesda.

The Grand Traverse Resort & Spa has promoted Colleen Brzozowski to the position of Director of Sales. She joined the resort in 2001 as an Executive Meeting Manager.

Emilie Rekart has joined the Four Seasons San Francisco as Associate Director of Catering. She was most recently the Director of Catering at the Grand Del Mar in San Diego. She was previously the Director of Catering at the San Francisco Fairmont and Catering Manager at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston.

Libby Brown has been promoted from Associate Director of Catering to Director of Catering and Convention Services at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa.

Felix Mayer has transferred to the Four Seasons Washington, D.C. as Director of Rooms, from the same position at the Four Seasons Damascus. Prior to joining Four Seasons, he was with InterContinental for nine years in various positions at the InterContinental Doha, the InterContinental Miami, the InterContinental Vienna and the InterContinental New York.

Thomas Ryan has joined the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach as Executive Chef. His previous culinary experience includes serving in the kitchens of the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, the Ritz-Carlton Aspen and the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

The Ritz-Carlton Naples has named Derin Moore Executive Chef. He previously served as Executive Chef at the Medinah Country Club in Chicago.

Sean Buchanan has been named Executive Chef at the new Stowe Mountain Lodge. He previously served as Executive Chef at the Middlebury Inn.

Jim Palmeri has been appointed Executive Chef at Mohonk Mountain House. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale. He previously served as Executive Chef at the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas, the Hyatt Grand Cayman and the Hyatt Coral Gables.

The Mona Lisa Suite Hotel, set to open in February in Celebration, Florida, has appointed Leon Teow Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director. He most recently served as Executive Chef at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach.

The Hilton Bella Harbor, set to open near Dallas in early 2008, has named Steven Weir Executive Chef of Mistra. Weir was previously the Executive Chef at Belo Mansion.

Joseph Humphrey will be leaving St. Helena's Restaurant at Meadowood and head to Sausalito, to be the Executive Chef of the soon-to-open Cavallo Point Lodge at Golden Gate. He had previously served as Executive Chef of Auberge du Soleil and Corporate Executive Chef for the Michael Mina Restaurant Group.

Humphrey’s successor at the Two-Michelin-Starred Meadowood is Christopher Kostow, from another Two-Michelin-Starred restaurant in Northern California, Chez TJ’s in Mountainview. Prior to joining Chez TJ’s, Kostow was a Sous Chef at Campton Place under Daniel Humm (now the Chef at Eleven Madison Park, in New York.)

The Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles has named Andreas Nieto Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the US Grant Hotel in San Diego. He also previously served in the kitchens of the Westin Century Plaza, the St. Regis Century City and the Beverly Hills Hotel.

At the just-opened Grand Del Mar, Jesse Rodriguez has been promoted from Head Sommelier for the restaurant Addison to Wine Director for the entire resort. He had previously served as Sommelier at the French Laundry and the Phoenician.

Nicolas Dubort has joined the Hotel Bel Air as Bar and Restaurant Manager, taking over for James Lukanik who had come from L’Orangerie, and has left the company. Dubort was most recently in charge of Avenues at the Peninsula Chicago. He had previously overseen the Fountain restaurant at the Four Seasons Philadelphia.

Craig Hammond has moved over to the Palazzo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas as Assistant General Manager for Restaurant Charlie by Charlie Trotter. He was most recently in the same position at Nove Italiano Restaurant in the Palms Hotel and Casino. He previously served as Assistant General Manager at TAO in the Venetian Hotel and Food and Beverage Director at the Stirling Club at Turnberry Place.

The Landings St. Lucia, a RockResort, has recently appointed Helen Lugo Spa Director of the RockResorts Spa. She has held previous positions at the Four Seasons Nevis and the Ritz-Carlton San Juan. She most recently served as Spa Director at Puerto Rico’s Martineau Bay Resort.

The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe has appointed Gerry O’Neil to the position of Spa Director for Stillwater Spa. O’Neil had previously overseen spa operations for the Swissôtel Boston and the Park Hyatt Century City (now the InterContinental Los Angeles).

EUROPE

Grace Hotels have appointed Philippe Requin Chief Executive Officer. He was most recently the General Manager of the InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus. Requin previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Elegant Heritage Mauritius and Voile D’Or Resort and Spa. In addition, he was the General Manager of the Sultan of Brunei’s Empire Hotel & Country Club, and the Director of Group Operations for Naiade Resorts on Mauritius.

Hyatt Hotels has promoted Frank Lavey to Senior Vice President of Operations for the Europe, Africa, Middle East division, based in Hyatt's regional office in Switzerland. A seventeen-year Hyatt executive in North America, Lavey has served as Vice President and Managing Director of the Hyatt Regency Maui for the past three years. He previously held the General Manager role at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki, the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles and the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf San Francisco.

Arnaud de Saint Exupéry has been promoted by Hyatt to be the General Manager of the very first Andaz prototype opened on London’s Liverpool Street. He was previously the Manager of the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, after serving as Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt International.

Lausanne grad Nathalie Seiler has been appointed General Manager of the Regent Bordeaux, taking over from Werner Knechtli. A former Director of Sales and Marketing at Paris’ Hotel Lutétia, Seiler joined Rezidor in 2004 as General Manager of the Radisson SAS Champs Elysées.

Fabrice Martin takes over from Nathalie Seiler as General Manager of the SAS Radisson Champs Elysées. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager at the hotel, a property he originally joined in 2002 as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.

Alex Fiz has been promoted by Marriott to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing Western Europe. He was previously the Director of Marriott’s Paris Sales Office.

Alex Willats has been named Hotel Manager of Claridges in London. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager Rooms at the Ritz London. Previously, he worked at the Lowry, Rocco Forte's hotel in Manchester.

Jacques Ligné has been reassigned, as General Manager, to the Accor Thalassa Quiberon. He was most recently serving as General Manager of the Sofitel Demeure Le Parc in Paris, until it was purchased by Strategic Capital and renamed the Renaissance Le Parc Paris. Ligné also served as General Manager and Regional Vice President for Le Méridien at Beverly Hills and Le Royal Méridien King Edward.

The new General Manager at the Sofitel Grand Amsterdam is Robert-Jan Woltering. He is succeeding Richard Launay, who is relocating to Rome, taking up the position of Director of Sofitel Italy and Greece. Woltering was most recently in Belgium, where he worked as General Manager of the Sofitel Gent Belfort and the Sofitel Brugge. In the past he also served as General Manager of the Sofitel Old Cataract and the New Cataract Hotel in Egypt.

Accor has named Denys Sappey General Manager, France, for its Pullman brand. He had joined Accor in 1998 and was most recently its Director of International Sales.

Sandor Tupi has been named Corporate Director of Operations for Grecotel Hotels & Resorts in Athens. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Vienna-based AZALEA Hotels & Resorts and as Corporate Director of Operations with Vienna International Hotels & Resorts.

Paul Rodwell is the new General Manager of the Gran Hotel Son Net in Mallorca. He joins from a similar post at the Evason Latitude in Jafre, Spain. Rodwell is also a former Resident Manager of Amanjena in Morocco.

Yves Lacheret has been promoted to Director of Operations, France, for Novotel. He had joined Novotel in May 2007 as Director of Operations at the Novotel Paris. His earlier career included stints with Concorde Hotels and L’Oreal.

Ahmed Hassan has joined the Hilton Dundee in Scotland as Operations Manager. He was most recently the Food and Beverage Manager at the Sheraton Soma Bay Resort.

Cornell graduate Christian Penassou has been appointed Director of Finance for Burgenstock Resorts in Switzerland. For the past two years, he had served as Project Financial Controller at the Cupecoy Beach Resort in St. Maarten, for Orient-Express. Previously, he spent ten years with InterContinental overseeing the finances for InterContinental Hotels Beirut, the InterContinental Abidjan and the Grand Hotel InterContinental Paris.

Kerstin Pace has joined the Luxury Collection Colombo’s Resort near Madeira, as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Complex Director of Sales for Starwood Hotels Brussels. She was previously the Assistant Director of Sales for the Starwood Brussels Sales Complex after joining them in 2002 as Sales Manager.

Roger Ohlsson has been named Executive Chef at the Capella Castlemartyr in County Cork, Ireland. Ohlsson joins the hotel after nine years at London’s Pied à Terre restaurant, where he advanced from Head Pastry Chef to Senior Sous Chef. He previously served as Chef de Partie at the Savoy Grill, the Square and Gordon Ramsay’s L’Orangerie.

Jean Christophe Basseau has been appointed Executive Chef for the Luxury Collection Colombo’s Resort in Porto Santo Island, slated for opening mid-2008. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Méridien Bora Bora. He had previously overseen the kitchens at the Legends Mauritius, the Oberoi Udaivilas and the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Frank Beck has been appointed General Manager of the St. Regis Bali. Since December 2005, he had served as General Manager of the Laguna Resort & Spa Bali. Beck has been with Starwood for almost twenty years, having held senior management positions in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including eight years in Indonesia.

Nicholas Emery has been named General Manager for the Fairmont Beijing, set to open in 2008. Emery joined the company in 1999 at the Fairmont Chicago and was later appointed to his most recent position as General Manager at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion.

Scott Mawhinney has joined the Pangu Plaza Hotel in Beijing as General Manager. He was most recently running the Centara Resort in Phuket. He has previously served as Resident Manager for the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort, opening General Manager of the Evason Hideaway at Ana Mandara and General Manager of the Brentwood Bay Lodge & Spa.

Christine Hodder will be the opening General Manager of the PuLi Hotel in Shanghai. She recently also performed the opening of the Amara Sanctuary on Singapore’s Sentosa Island. Prior to that, Hodder ran the Milestone in London, after being the General Manager of the World at Residensea.

Martijn van der Valk has been named General Manager of the Pudi Boutique Hotel - Fuxing Parc in Shanghai. He was most recently the General Manager at Baros Maldives. He has previously served as the General Manager of Carcosa Seri Negara and the Strand Yangon. In addition, he was with Hyatt International for five years in London and Riyadh.

Siddharth Mehra has transferred as Manager to Amansara in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Mehra was most recently the Resident Manager at Amanbagh in Rajasthan, India.

Abdul Baaghil has transferred as Hotel Manager to the Ritz-Carlton Beijing Financial Street. He was previously the Executive Assistant Manager and Director of Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain. He previously served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Sharm El Sheikh and held several food and beverage key positions with Hyatt Regency and Park Hyatt hotels in the U.S.

Jeff Ross is the pre-opening Executive Assistant Manager for the St. Regis Bali. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager of Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi.

Brice Borin has transferred as Hotel Manager to the Anantara Hua Hin in Thailand from the same position at the Anantara Maldives. He had previously served as Resident Manager of Le Taha'a Private Island & Spa and oversaw food and beverage at the Evason Resort & Spa Hua Hin, the Park Plaza Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and Le Méridien Jakarta.

The Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City has appointed Juan Costa Ribas Executive Assistant Manager. He joined the hotel in 2001 and most recently served as its Food and Beverage Director..
