Hotel Offers State-of-the-Art Technology and the Comforts of “Home”
The Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center announces the completion of its multi-million dollar renovation to enhance its strong reputation in Montgomery County. It now offers guests the ultimate in style and innovation with their unique and ultra-adaptable guest rooms.
The renovation of the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center encompassed 11 floors holding 284 fully remodeled guest rooms and four suites. The renovation includes new furniture and the upgraded Marriott “Revive” bedding package. Each room now is equipped with high speed internet access and a 32-inch, flat-panel LCD HDTV. In addition, an innovative “plug-in panel” offers easy connectivity for a variety of electronic devices, including a laptop computer, MP3 player, video game player and camcorder.
“The Gaithersburg Marriott features unique amenities to keep business travelers energized and productive while they work and relax,” said Matt Felix, general manager, Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center. “We are one of the first in the area to offer this flexibility and comfort and our clients are telling us they love the convenience. This renovation also allows us to continue to be a strong partner in the economic development plans of the county.”
With approximately 6,500 square feet of total meeting space, the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center has eight meeting rooms and a refurbished Grand Ballroom with a maximum seating capacity of 800 people -- an ideal setting for meetings, conferences, parties and wedding receptions. Also, there are three concierge levels with access to a stylish lounge outfitted with individual work zones, wireless internet access and flat-panel LCD HDTVs. In addition, the hotel amenities include dining facilities, a versatile fitness center, an open year-round indoor pool and convenient, complimentary onsite parking with shuttle service to the nearby Shady Grove metro station.
Overlooking a picturesque lake, the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center is near downtown Bethesda and Rockville, MD and within a short walking distance from upscale restaurants, shopping, movie theaters and the Rio Entertainment Complex.
