Heritage Hotels have been recognised in global travel agency Expedia’s top hotel list, The Expedia Insiders' Select list. Only four New Zealand hotels achieved this distinction, Heritage Hotels enjoying considerable success with three properties making the list.
Heritage Christchurch, Heritage Queenstown and Heritage Auckland were all recognised high on the online travel agency’s list of 80,000 hotels, which represents the top 1% of all listed hotels worldwide.
Heritage Christchurch achieved greatest success, being ranked 73rd most popular hotel in the global list.
The Expedia Insiders' Select list formally recognises hotels that consistently deliver excellent service, a great overall experience and a notable value. The list is compiled based upon Expedia’s collection of hundreds of thousands of traveller hotel reviews, comparing hotels within the same star-rating and geographical region to identify hotels that deliver a notable value for the experience they offer, and local expertise and insight from hundreds of Expedia employees in destinations throughout the world.
Expedia is home to more traveller reviews than any other online travel agency, with over 160,000 Traveller Opinions submitted in 2007 alone.
