ROKA Japanese robata grill in Pacific Place offers the perfect dinner getaway in Hong Kong’s bustling Pacific Place mall. Amidst a menu of mouthwatering dishes, cool cocktails and delicious desserts, ROKA’s sexy atmosphere and friendly service is sure to leave you wanting more.

The social, casual and comfortable venue centered around the cosy 'robata' is a popular warm, winter retreat headed by Executive Chef Patrick Zepho, a veteran of the group's fashionable flagship restaurant ROKA London.

Exotic seafood and vegetarian dishes add allure to the already scrumptious menu of ROKA’s famed charcoal-grilled meats and skewers complemented by ROKA’s tasty homemade sauces. Dinner can be enjoyed intimately by the warmth of the robata counter, or at the comfortable tables in the energetic restaurant.

Grilled seafood dishes include grilled mackerel pike with ponzu daikon (HK$95) and crab with ponzu miso (HK$75), complimenting a menu that also features the signature seafood dish, tiger prawn with yuzu kosho chilli paste (HK$75) as well as salmon teriyaki (HK$160), arrow squid (HK$135) and seabream fillet (HK$190).

New vegetarian choices include pumpkin with honeycomb, shiso and orange (HK$55) and grilled sweet potato (HK$50), eggplant in mirin, ginger and soy (HK$60), along with options such as mushrooms in garlic soy and ponzu (HK$50), tomatoes with bean sprouts (HK$45) and flame grilled baby peppers (HK$55).

Highlights of the grilled meat delicacies served up are tender lamb cutlets with hot pepper spices (HK$190), beef with teriyaki or spicy sauce (HK$195), Duckleg with sancho pepper, red onions and cabbage (HK$130) and baby chicken marinated in plum wine & miso (HK$150).

Signature skewers hot off the grill include beef with asparagus (HK$70), chicken wings with spicy sauce (HK$65), black cod with gingered saikyo miso (HK$120), Japanese pork and sweet shrimp tsukune (HK$70) and chicken skewers with baby leek (HK$60).

In addition to the warm grill dishes, the menu also features market-fresh sashimi and maki sushi rolls plus unique ROKA snacks, salads, rice and noodles, as well as specialty donburi and gyoza dishes and home-made desserts.

ROKA is named after the Japanese word RO, meaning a gathering place where people meet to socialize over food and drinks, and KA standing for a welcoming fire.

Located on level LG1 of Pacific Place, the restaurant also serves sake from various regions of Japan and features a wine cellar housing over 500 wines from around the world, and 25 wines served by the glass.

Completing the drinks menu are freshly made cocktails, non-alcoholic cleansers, and infused well-being tonics made from shochu, an ancient Japanese spirit distilled from grains such as barley, rice or potato. Drinks can be enjoyed at ROKA’s casual bar which serves as the perfect after work drinks venue.

ROKA is minimally styled and inspired by the four elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air by Japanese designer Noriyoshi Muramatsu, combining natural organic materials such as wood, soil, rice paper, rock and rusted iron.

ROKA is authentic but not traditional, emphasizing ingredients and flavour with a menu designed for sharing.

With a total of four restaurants around the world, ROKA was originally launched in London in 2004.

ROKA Hong Kong is open daily from 11.30am – 10.30pm.
