aloha! In conjunction with the launch of aloft hotels in Asia Pacific, with the opening of aloft Beijing, Haidian, aloft hotels today announced the launch of the aloft aloha girl campaign in China, from now till 31st March 2009.

“The opening of aloft Beijing, Haidian has truly brought a fun new way to play and stay in Beijing, allowing travelers to jet set in style and at a great price. Aloft Beijing, Haidian looks forward to sharing our thoughts on the new way of traveling with our guests and what better way to do this than through a fun online environment with the aloft aloha girl campaign!” commented Hwee Peng Yeo, Director of Corporate Communications, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific.

“aloha is aloft hotels’ unique and cosy way of saying welcome to our guests, and we have appropriately named this campaign on the new female travelers of China, the “aloha girl” campaign, to express aloft’s forward looking approach to getting to know and meeting the needs of the modern travelers of today.” added Yeo.

With the help from several renowned opinion leaders in China, including Mu Lei, Yang Bing Yang, Guo Hua and Zhao Bin, aloft hotels identified the personalities/characteristics of female travelers in China today and invite the public to visit www.alofthotels.com/alohagirl to get to know the new lifestyle brand in travel and learn about the new travel trends and needs of travellers today, and vote for who they think best represents the female travelers of today. The opinion leaders had shared their professional thoughts on the personalities of the new female travelers in China, and they can be identified in four different groups :

1.aloha girl #1 : Coco – An independent and successful career woman who balances work and social life very well.

2.aloha girl #2 : Ella – A very sociable traveller, who enjoys meeting new friends when she is on the road.

3.aloha girl #3 : Julie – Artistic and trendy traveller, who appreciates style and design and likes to visit local art galleries to learn about new trends when she travels

4.aloha girl #4 : Winnie – An active and carefree traveler, who is passionate about sports and loves outdoor activities.

To join the vote and share their thoughts on the new travelers of today, the public can simply visit www.alofthotels.com/alohagirl and get to know the four aloha girls’ personalities, and share their thoughts and comments. They are also invited to vote who they feel best represents the new female traveller of China. Voters will also stand to win weekly accommodation and cocktail treats at w xyz bar of aloft Beijing, Haidian.

The results for this campaign are fully driven by the number of votes received. The public who voted for the aloha girl with the most number of votes will also get the chance to win a grand prize of 4 days adventure in Beijing and a Nano ipod.
