The Board of Directors of Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT) has approved the appointment of Robert M. La Forgia to executive vice president and chief financial officer. La Forgia is located in the Beverly Hills World Headquarters office and reports to Stephen F. Bollenbach, co-chairman and chief executive officer.
"It is with a special sense of pride that I announce Bob's promotion to executive vice president because he has, in 25 years with Hilton, worked his way up the organization from field level finance to the top financial job in our company," said Bollenbach. "This is, of course, due primarily to Bob's enormous dedication to Hilton but also due to our company's ability to provide unlimited opportunity to our team members. Congratulations, Bob."
La Forgia had previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer since 2004, and prior to that as senior vice president and controller since 1996. In his tenure with Hilton, La Forgia has also held a variety of finance positions both at the corporate office and in the field.
La Forgia earned his master's of business administration from the Anderson School at UCLA and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Providence College. He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute, the National Association of Corporate Directors and recently served on the board of directors of the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation CA*AZ*NV Chapter.
