Senior Management Appointments at Shanghai’s New Zendai Hotel Yin & Zendai Art Hotel (Chine)

Two senior management appointments have been announced at new twin luxury hotels under development in Shanghai, the ‘city retreat’ Zendai Hotel Yin and 5-star Zendai Art Hotel.
They are part of the spectacular new RMB 2.4 billion Himalayas Center, being acclaimed as an ‘Archisculptural Masterpiece for 21st century China’.
The two executives join a management team led by British national Graham Kiy, General Manager of both hotels, which will open in Pudong in 2010 in time for the Shanghai World Expo.
Beijing native David Guo has been appointed as Director Sales & Marketing for both hotels.
Stella Huang has been appointed as Director of Zendai Hotel Yin.
David Guo, 39, is a sales and marketing veteran of top international hotels in China. He was previously Director of Sales & Marketing at the Mandarin Oriental, Sanya.
He was involved in the pre-opening of Kempinski Hotel, and previously Director of Sales at The Peninsula Palace Hotel, one of the leading hotels in Beijing. He also helped reposition the Hilton Beijing as a deluxe 5 star hotel, also as Director of Sales.
Stella Huang Huei-Feng has over a decade of experience in the hotel industry in her native Taiwan, including assisting in the opening and managing the exclusive hot spring resort Villa 32.
Villa 32 was subsequently voted on Conde Nast Traveler's 2006 Hot List of the world's top new hotels. It was the only Taiwan hotel not managed by an international chain to be ranked
A graduate of The National Taiwan University and Switzerland's prestigious Hotel Management School 'Les Roches', she began her hospitality career as an apprentice with Movenpick in Geneva and Lausanne.
On returning to Taiwan, she worked for seven years at the Grand Formosa Regent Taipei, rising from banquet sales executive to director of catering.
Outside the hotel industry, she also worked as director of programmes for the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, and Taiwan brand manager of high-end New York cosmetic company, Chantecaille.
