Five-star seaside property lowers rates on family package, too
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket, already renowned for possessing the largest children's entertainment centre on the island, has added to its allure for families by elimiinating most charges associated with kids.
Until 31 October, an extra bed, breakfast for guests under 13 and 'Play Zone' access costs nothing. As well, its KidzSole Family Package has never been more affordable, with nightly rates starting at 7,700 BHT (about 225 USD) per room based on a minimum three-night stay.
KidzSole is an interactive reality circus that provides youths the opportunity to experience arts such as swinging trapeze, big trampoline, pyramid building, juggling and tumbling. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket is one of only two resorts on the island to offer the entertainment and performance program, conceived in the U.S. in 1995 by American Ronald Pascoe.
"It's rare that you'll find an amenity like KidzSole, anywhere in the world," said Hansruedi Frutiger, the resort’s general manager. "Kids love it, and now with the adjusted package prices and added freebies, parents do, too. The whole family wins."
The limited-time offer includes roundtrip airport transfer in a private limousine, a 60-minute KidzSole experience for children aged 4-12, a 60-minute Thai massage for adults and a Brazilian churrasco dinner at El Gaucho, where patrons are treated to an array of tender meats by a squadron of skewer-wielding chefs.
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket is among the premier hotel properties in one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations. Its 159 suites and secluded villas are equipped with sundecks and outdoor rainforest showers, and most have their own plunge pools.
The main building offers 175 rooms, most with views of the azure Andaman Sea. All suites, villas and rooms reflect elements and traditions of Thai decor and design, while their location is second-to-none: 45 minutes from Phuket International Airport and within lush, tropical grounds, directly on Karon Beach.
Located on the ground floor of the main tower, the sprawling 'Play Zone' features Sony PlayStations, a DVD lounge and Internet room, arts and crafts, an outdoor playground and indoor games, such as pool and table tennis.
