The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences to Take the Spotlight in 30 Acre Master Development; Westin Groundbreaking Kicks Off Phase One of an Ultimate Environment for the New Live, Work, Play Segment.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc (NYSE:HOT) and Intrawest Corporation (NYSE:IDR) (TSX:ITW) announce the groundbreaking of The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences, the first phase of The Village of Imagine. Located across from the 2.1 million square-foot Orange County Convention Center, The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences will be the area's newest residential village condominiums providing luxury accommodations for both business and leisure travelers all within easy access to the nation's second largest convention center and the area's renowned scenic, cultural and entertainment venues. Phase One, due to open in early 2008, will consist of 470 Westin branded condominium suites and residences and more than 40 boutique shops and upscale dining outlets. Once complete, this 30-acre master-planned resort village will include approximately 1,000 residences consisting of a mix of residential homes, town homes and condominium-hotel units.
The Village of Imagine will be set on the shores of two lakes and interwoven by a series of waterways and pedestrian-friendly walkways. The resort village will provide luxury accommodations and easy access to amenities essential for the continued growth of the area's convention business. The Westin Imagine Orlando will be a key component of the main Village corridor that will provide guests with upscale dining, shopping, swimming pools and an event lawn area designated for nightly activities.

The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences will consist of suites and one and two bedroom residences. All two bedroom residences will be equipped with fully appointed kitchens. Guests of The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences will enjoy all of the signature services and amenities that travelers have come to expect from Westin that speak to the brand's positioning around personal renewal, including Westin's Heavenly Bed(R) and Heavenly Bath(R), WestinWORKOUT(R) Powered by Reebok fitness facility and Westin WORKOUT guest rooms. In addition, all Westin hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean are designated smoke-free as of February 2006.
Information on The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences is now available at The Village of Imagine Discovery Center located on Universal Boulevard. This is a limited ownership opportunity in partnership with Westin. Completion of the first phase at The Village of Imagine is estimated to be early 2008 to coincide with the busy tradeshow season.
