Famed Biarritz Palace Honored Among Top European Hotels By Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Awards

Andria Mitsakos Public Relations (AMPR), serving lifestyle, luxury and hospitality industries worldwide, has added the famed Hotel du Palais in Biarritz to its client roster. A member of the esteemed Leading Hotels of the World, the hotel has recently been honored by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler as the #1 Top Resort in Europe in the magazine‘s 21st Annual Readers‘ Choice Awards. The awards are derived from the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Survey, the largest independent poll of consumers’ preferences with over 25,008 readers voted this year.

“I am thrilled to have AMPR at the helm of our media relations outreach, and our entire operation is elated by the results of this esteemed reader poll,” said Hotel du Palais General Manager Jean-Louis Leimbarcher. “We take our guests’ opinions to the heart and will work our hardest to continue meeting high standards of quality service, fine dining and accommodations. We look forward to working closely with Andria Mitsakos and her team to further establish Hotel du Palais and the city of Biarritz in the media.”

Built in 1855 by Napoleon III as a summer mansion for Empress Eugenia, Hotel du Palais is now among the most beautiful hotels in the world, overlooking the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Owned by the city of Biarritz, the hotel has been permanently restored and now boasts a glamorous five-story Guerlain spa. According to readers, this "absolutely grandiose oceanfront villa" in the Basque Country has interiors with restored nineteenth-century antiques. Rooms with balconies and Atlantic views contain furniture and decorations dating from the Second Empire. The hotel's luxury and ageless charm, coupled with its outstanding sports facilities, make the Palais an international center for vacationers and sports enthusiasts alike.
