The Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of Preferred Hotel Group took place at the Regal Airport Hotel from October 27 to 29, 2009. The theme of this three-day meeting is “Strong Reasons Make Strong Actions”, a famous quotation from William Shakespeare, aiming at overviewing the global perspective and the corporate strategy, as well as reviewing the Asian market trend.
Around 80 professional hoteliers from the member hotels in Asia-Pacific attended the meeting. A cocktail reception was hosted by Regal Airport Hotel on October 27, 2009 to extend the warmest welcome to all participants. The Chairman of the Board and CEO of Preferred Hotel Group, Mr John Ueberroth, kicked off the meeting by giving his speech of global perspective and company overview. The meeting programme included an influential line up of specialist speakers from Preferred Hotel Group and other marketplaces as well as roundtable discussion.
Mr John Ueberroth said “On behalf of all the Preferred Hotel Group teams, sincere thanks for Regal Airport Hotel’s kind hospitality and generosity to all delegates during our meeting. It was a pleasure to stay with the Hotel and understand first hand why it is the Best Airport Hotel in the World. Again, most sincere thanks to the entire team.”
Ms Linda Roark, Vice President, Meetings & Events of Preferred Hotel Group, said “First, let me thank you for the interest your Hotel took in this meeting and the time committed to oversee all the details. Your team was excellent liaisons to the planning departments within the Hotel and made sure every meeting, break and meal was prepared correctly and beautifully. Your kind banquet and audio visual associates welcomed us warmly each morning prior to the meeting and stood by to assist with any last minute or updated requests. The housekeeping polished our guest rooms and delivered surprise gifts to us with their invisible moments in the hallways and rooms. It was all so welcoming and seamless!
It is always a mixed blessing to host one of our VIP meetings. We believe it is a great opportunity for our best hotels to present themselves to their peers.
