The New L.A. Power Lunch

It's no secret that Angelenos are über health-conscious. Every time you turn around, they're hiking the trails under the Hollywood sign, heading to Malibu with a surfboard and jogging the mansion-lined streets of Beverly Hills. And with so many glam folks in "The Industry," they also watch what they eat. Call it a hunch, but we bet the largest per capita consumers of sushi outside of Japan are right here in L.A.

Knowing that guests and guests-of-guests want to power-lunch and eat sensibly, Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles has just opened Culina — a modern Italian restaurant featuring one of L.A.'s only crudo bars.

What's crudo, you ask? It's the Italians' succulent take on sushi and dare we say; it's a welcome new alternative. Sit on Culina's palm tree-shaded patio and order one of its 200 different labels of wine while you sample the gamberoni (shrimp marinated in lemon oil, basil, Italian parsley), cappesante (Maine scallop drizzled in black truffle and lemon oil) or the tonno (ahi tuna prepared with ginger oil, coriander seed and lemon salt).

Or better yet, belly up to the lively crudo bar — the Restaurant's focal point — where the specialty chef will showcase his seafood skills right before your eyes. Who knows? You might even witness the next big three-picture deal being inked with Tinseltown's starlet-du-jour!

Book your table at Culina to see, be seen and devour the delicious crudo today.
