Rejuvenation, wellbeing at heart of new weekend package
A summer deal that will appeal to tourists’ heads, hearts and wallets has been unveiled in one of Thailand’s most historic resort regions.
AKA Resort Hua Hin and AKA Resort Guti Kiri Hua Hin — sister properties two kilometres apart on the outskirts of the century-old town of Hua Hin — are offering weekends of relaxation and pampering at the reduced price of THB14,900 (US$457) for two.
The deal includes two nights’ accommodation in a one-bedroom Deluxe Pool Villa at either location, as well as breakfast. Guests also receive a 90-minute floral bath, unpolished rice body scrub or Thai massage.
“Our resorts are designed entirely around wellbeing and relaxation — a theme we have specifically concentrated on here,” said Rolf Opitz, general manager of AKA Resorts Hua Hin. “We’ve even sweetened the package with a 12-flavor, homemade ice cream tasting for two.”
Additional food, drinks and spa treatments are 25-percent off. A complimentary shuttle bus is provided for trips to and from town.
AKA Resort Hua Hin and AKA Resort Guti Kiri Hua Hin are located 15 minutes west of Hua Hin. Contemporary architecture and interior design, personal plunge pools and breathtaking views of the Burmese Mountains are the common threads between the boutique properties.
Founded in 1909, Hua Hin became a popular retreat among Thai sovereigns 12 years later, when a railway station and hotel were erected to service elite train travellers between Bangkok and Singapore.
Today, Hua Hin is the full-time residence of the world’s longest serving monarch — His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej — and a haven for golfers, water sports mavens, spa goers and wine enthusiasts.
