Golf Digest, one of the country's leading golf publications, selected Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort as the site of its 2010 'Hot Ball" testing, which is featured in this month's issue of the magazine.
Earlier this year, five members of the Golf Digest editorial team came to Sandestin, the # 1 resort as rated by Emerald Coast Magazine.
Golf Digest editors were joined for four days by 20 experienced golfers with varying ability, who tested balls on the practice range and in actual course play. Players used Sandestin's Raven Golf Club, which has been the site of past PGA championship tournaments and ranked among the best courses in North America.
During the ball testing at Sandestin, brands and markings on the balls were blacked out, so all evaluation would be objective. Winners of the testing and complete breakdowns are featured in this June's edition of Golf Digest Magazine.
Golf Digest enjoyed Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort for the testing program because of the outstanding facility, combined with the superior service and convenient accommodations.
