Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore the hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world's most treasured destinations, offers special rates on Holiday and New Year's cruises in Costa Rica and the Caribbean.
On the Holiday sailings, each Windstar ship is decorated with beautiful holiday decorations including trees, wreathes, garlands and lights. Guests savor a holiday menu specially prepared by the ships' executive chefs featuring roasted turkey and traditional accompaniments in addition to other culinary delights. Media icons Tina Brown and Sir Harold Evans are special guests on Wind Surf's Caribbean Holiday and New Year's cruises. Brown is the legendary editor-in-chief of the award-winning news and opinion Web site, The Daily Beast. She was previously editor of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker and is the best-selling author of "The Diana Chronicles," a biography of Diana, the Princess of Wales. Evans was editor of London's Sunday Times and the Times, and was founding editor of Conde Nast Traveler and editorial director and vice chairman of U.S. News and World Report, the New York Daily News and The Atlantic Monthly. Both Brown and Evans will present a lecture during the New Year's sailing on Wind Surf. Brown's lecture focuses on Princess Diana and Evans' lecture centers on the innovators who made America from the steam engine to search engine.
