To kick start the Christmas festivities at Orchard Hotel, a group of special children and volunteers from AWWA (Asia Woman Welfare Association, Special Education School) were invited to officially launch our Christmas Lollipop House with their finishing touches of colourful lollipops.
“It was a delightful experience for the children to be carried by a “giant”, meet our Finnish Santarinas and decorate the walls of the life-size house with Lollipops - an experience strictly not permitted at home!” said General Manager Ruprecht Schmitz carrying some of the children who helped to decorate the top part of the house.
Before the excitement could die down, the group was ushered into Lavendar Room where they were treated to a delicious Thanksgiving Lunch. Roasted Meats, Pumpkin Soup, Pasta, Smoked Salmon were some of the items on the menu enjoyed by the children. The meal was completed on a sweet note with festive selection of Fruit Tart, Cakes, Jelly and more.
Holding a Lollipop in your hand is a yummy treat; yet seeing a house decorated with colourful Lollipops is a sight to behold! Standing distinctively in the lobby is our sweetest picture perfect Lollipop House, beautifully decorated with 2800 pieces of colourful lollipops from around the world. Our Santarinas were specially flown in for the first time, all the way from Santa Clause Village in Lapland to welcome you with sumptuous sweet treats!
