Dinner for two at signature restaurant Moments by acclaimed chefs Carme Ruscalleda and Raul Balam, plus an exclusive guide to Barcelona’s best gastronomic gems
Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is delighted to introduce a Gourmet Package to celebrate the city’s colourful Catalan cuisine. Guests can enjoy an unforgettable dining experience at the hotel’s signature Michelin-starred restaurant, Moments, directed by Carme Ruscalleda, the only female chef awarded with six Michelin Stars, as well as receiving a personalised, illustrated guide to some of the city’s finest dining gems.
Food-loving clientele are invited to explore every gastronomic corner of the city with the aid of an exclusive address book devised by Carme Ruscalleda and her son, chef Raul Balam. Both chefs have put together an exclusive list of their gastronomic favourites that will guide guests through the backstreets of Barcelona. Highlights include must-try local gourmet favourites that are off the beaten tourist track. It includes popular, gastronomic addresses such as La Boqueria Market, where true foodies can lose themselves for hours and specialised food shops, such as The Oven where the world’s smallest chocolate croissants are made. The book is beautifully illustrated with drawings by Carme Ruscalleda herself.
On return to the hotel, guests will enjoy a memorable evening at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona’s signature restaurant, Moments, hailed as one of the finest dining experiences in the city. Carme Ruscalleda returns to the roots of authentic Catalan cuisine and uses traditional recipes based on fresh seasonal products. Dinner includes a delicious tasting menu with a wine selection chosen by sommelier Judit Cercós. Guests will also find in their rooms a personally signed Carme Ruscalleda cookbook to complete the experience.
