AAA Four Diamond restaurant raises the bar for Southwest Florida dining

A favorite among locals and travelers alike, the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa’s AAA Four Diamond Tanglewood Restaurant recently received a comprehensive redesign to further enhance the resort dining experience. The restaurant’s new look echoes the relaxed yet refined spirit of Southwest Florida, perfectly complementing Executive Chef Andreas Singer award-winning cuisine. The Florida Gulf Coast and Caribbean influences of Chef Singer’s dishes have inspired the restaurant’s new warm, Floridian décor.

“The restaurant’s new look and feel sets the tone for what’s in store for guests,” said Parviz Monsefan, the resort’s food and beverage director. “Diners will find an open, inviting space that offers both a modern, casual flair with a hint of Southwest Florida elegance. This new style pairs well with our culinary theme: comfortable food with an exciting twist.”

Tanglewood’s menu includes classic favorites that are artfully infused with exotic flavors and ingredients. The homemade seafood lovers’ pizza is prepared from an open-display brick oven and garnished with shrimp, lobster, scallions and boursin cheese. A childhood favorite, the grilled cheese sandwich, delights a now more sophisticated palate with a trio of aged cheeses on a tomato loaf, accompanied by a sun-dried tomato dip and house-made chips.

To complement Tanglewood’s creative comfort food, a full bar and dessert menu is available. Highlights include Hyatt’s signature diamond cocktails, such as the Diamond Coconut-Lime Cooler, and lavender meringue paired with orange segments, fresh blueberries and a chocolate micro mint.

Tanglewood’s recent renovations included new stone flooring, travertine mosaics, natural stone countertops, accent millwork and custom art to complement the restaurant’s spacious dining rooms. A full kitchen upgrade added a buffet counter with built-in induction units, a stone hearth oven and all-new kitchen equipment. Custom omelet action stations were also added to Tanglewood’s extensive daily breakfast buffet.

Along with the renovation, the restaurant now accepts reservations through the OpenTable website. Frequent diners who book through the site can accumulate points for dining rewards, which are redeemable at OpenTable restaurants nationwide.

Located just inside the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point’s lobby, Tanglewood is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and offers both indoor seating and covered patio dining where guests can relax in the warm Florida sunshine throughout the year. Reservations are highly recommended for the popular Easter and Mother’s Day brunches, which draw diners from across Southwest Florida and beyond. Samples from this year’s holiday brunch menu include a chilled seafood buffet, peppered prime rib, Easter ham, leg of lamb and a delectable display of desserts.
