Great Hotels of the World is pleased to announce that its member, Vale D’Oliveiras Quinta Resort and Spa, has officially become a member of IAGTO, the International Association of Golf Tour Operators. This is a global trade association for the golf tourism industry and through this platform the resort now has access to the most prominent tour operators, companies, organisations, support and information in the golf tourism industry. This also includes important exhibition venues such as the upcoming IGTM (International Golf Travel Market) which will be held in Turkey in November 2011, at which Vale D’Oliveiras will be now be present. Royal Wing Suites and Spa wins 2011 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence
Great Hotels of the World is delighted to announce that its member, Royal Wing Suites and Spa has been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor. It is awarded to member properties of Trip Advisor who consistently receive excellent ratings from travellers around the world, maintaining an average rating of 4.0 or higher out of the possible 5.0. Additional criteria includes the volume of reviews and how recent these reviews are submitted by Trip Advisor travellers. Royal Wing Suites and Spa is honoured to have received this recognition and proud that their gracious and warm Thai hospitality has satisfied its valued guests.

Great Hotels of the World’s member Jetwing Lighthouse has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. This Certificate of Excellence is awarded to hotels maintaining consistent high service and quality standards and is established based on the number of high ranking reviews posted by guests. Jetwing Lighthouse feels justifiably privileged to receive such great recognition as the hotel strives hard to maintain a high level of service.
Continental Hotel Zara ****Superior receives double success, receiving Best of Budapest Awards and Trip Advisor Certificates for both its hotel and Restaurant
Great Hotels of the World is pleased to announce that Continental Hotel Zara ****Superior has recently received four awards - two for the hotel and two for its restaurant. The hotel was given the Best of Budapest Award for the new best four star hotel and their restaurant Araz, received the award for the best new restaurant. The Best of Budapest Awards is an independent qualification system that was created by Budapest Week Publishing for the purpose of maintaining quality. Those awarded have proven over the years their worthiness of the recognition on the basis of their performance in the catering and service sectors.
The name ‘Best of Budapest’ is a guarantee that those using the services meet with the same quality whenever they return. Continental Hotel Zara ****Superior and its Araz restaurant also received Certificates of Excellence from Trip Advisor as recognition for their outstanding performance. The hotel is delighted to receive such prestigious awards, especially after only having opened its doors a year ago.
Spa Bahía del Duque by ESPA nominated for the Virtuoso ‘Best of the Best’ Awards
Virtuoso, one of the most highly respected travel organisations worldwide, has nominated the spa at Gran Hotel Bahia Del Duque for its prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ awards in the ‘Best Spa’ category. This is a great recognition for the Spa, which has previously won several prizes in its short history, the last of which was awarded by Condé Nast Traveller as the ‘Best Spa in Spain’. Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque is one of the few hotels in Spain that have been nominated for the Virtuoso ‘Best of Best’ awards. The result will be announced on 17 August at a dinner in Las Vegas, which will be attended by the most exclusive names in the tourism industry. This nomination has come in the same week as the hotel has earned the ‘biosphere’ seal by The Institute of Responsible Tourism (ITR), certifying its concern for and management of sustainable tourism.
