In the new additions to the Design Hotels™ family, take Hotel Matilda in Mexico for example – the sharp, style-conscious hideout is bringing San Miguel de Allende’s historic cobbled streets to the future, both with its design and contemporary Mexican art inside. In another part of the world, Tribe Hotel in Kenya surrounds guests with an unrivaled collection of African artifacts and crafts from where to explore this diverse and rich part of the continent. In the heart of Paris’ golden fashion triangle lies La Maison Champs Élysées. With its subtle and theatrical décor, it is the first hotel interior created by the fashion brand Maison Martin Margiela.
Further afield, Kimamaya Boutique Hotel on the Japanese island of Hokkaido offers guests an intimate sanctuary with a handful of rooms and a spiritually lasting experience. In the renowned wine region of Southern Styria known as the “Tuscany of Austria,” LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resort Südsteiermark will concentrate on the local. Its architecture combines coarsely cut materials from the region with glass for fabulous views and the LOISIUM Vinothek encompasses an educational vineyard and showcases Styria’s most interesting wines.
