Here's a story you can file under "Now you can't say you didn't know!" A flip through the calendar reveals that January is National Oatmeal Month, March is National Noodle Month and May is National Hamburger Month — and frankly, we can think of no better reason to celebrate!

And just where are the unofficial headquarters of this feast-worthy festival? The Bristol Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Boston, where burgers are serious business. Executive Chef Brooke Vosika is reigning champ of the Boston Burger Battle and the "Best of Boston" title-holder from Boston Magazine.

This year, Chef Vosika is taking his grill skills up a notch with a globe-trotting "Around the World in Burgers" theme to celebrate the month of meat-on-buns. Here, to get your taste buds tingling, are just a few of Chef Vosika's creations — a different one for each day of May:

• Taking inspiration from Thailand, the Pad Thai Burger's chicken patty is topped with toasted peanuts, rice noodles, cilantro and bean sprouts.
• Craving the flavors of Italy? The Roman Burger will make your mouth water with roasted tomato and pancetta, mozzarella cheese and basil mayonnaise.
• The Eiffel Tower Burger, a delectable homage to France, features black truffles, melted brie, French mustard aioli and a fried organic egg — Bon appétit!

Of course, he's included a few patriotic burgers too, including the Fenway (peppers and onions, aged cheddar, house-smoked bacon, baked beans), the Big Easy (Cajun onions, Creole aioli, and dirty potato chips atop a classic bun) and the Aloha (pineapple salsa and toasted macadamia nuts on a sweet bread roll).

To wrap up the delicious month, fans can tweet their own desired destinations and flavors to @FSBoston #Burger between May 1 - 15, 2012. Chef Vosika and Executive Sous Chef Jose Gamez will pick two winners to enjoy their creations on the house on May 29 and 31, 2012.
