New lounge at The Keraton at the Plaza, A Luxury Collection Hotel serves tapas, martinis and High Tea in stylish, contemporary setting
The Keraton at The Plaza, a Luxury Collection® Hotel located in the heart of Indonesia’s vibrant capital city of Jakarta, is pleased to announce the opening of the Keraton Lounge, a stylish Indonesian tapas lounge. Located in the chic grand lobby of the new Keraton at The Plaza, a Luxury Collection® Hotel, the Keraton Lounge is an intimate bar and restaurant serving exceptional Indonesian-inspired cuisine, High Tea and classic cocktails, including Jakarta’s largest selection of martinis.

Open since June, The Keraton at The Plaza, a Luxury Collection® Hotel is a refined oasis in the midst of Indonesia’s vibrant capital city. With a premier location on the Jalan Thamrin, one of Jakarta’s most prestigious streets, and a full suite of distinctive amenities and epicurean experiences, The Keraton at The Plaza is a sanctuary of quiet luxury and cultural delights. Inspired by the Javanese word for “palace,” The Keraton at The Plaza rises from the 8th to the 22nd floors of the new Keraton Building, offering 140 spacious guest rooms sumptuously appointed with exquisite bedding, thoughtful accessories, and palatial bathrooms.
A Contemporary Indonesian Tapas Lounge
Located on the lobby level, the Keraton Lounge is a stylish and sophisticated venue serving refreshing fare all day long, along with High Tea each afternoon and Jakarta’s largest selection of martinis into the evening. With a sleek, contemporary ambiance, the Keraton Lounge offers comfortable lounge-like seating for 40 guests, including a sleek bar serving up martinis and classic cocktails along with an international selection of wine, Champagne and Indonesian teas.
Keraton Lounge serves breakfast daily from 8am – 11am. Offerings include a selection of fresh made Western, Asian and Indonesian favorites ranging from Eggs Benedict and pancakes to chicken porridge and beef satay. Seasonal fruits and fresh-squeezed juices are available each day as well as a large selection of TWG Indonesian tea.
A slice of elegant tradition is served up each afternoon in the Keraton Lounge with Afternoon Tea, served daily from 3pm – 6pm. Based on the English tradition, Afternoon Tea includes a selection of fresh made canapés paired with a variety of TWG teas and Champagne. Served on a tantalizing tiered stand, canapés include the Keraton layered cake and macaroon on the top; salmon caviar and black caviar on opened faced toasts in the middle tier; homey scones on the bottom tier; and side plates of local delights that include Dadar Gulang, Talam Ubi, Putu Ayu, and Risoles.
A delicious bar menu will be available each day from 11am – close. Selections include French Sturia Caviar; Caesar and Nicoise salads; Ceviche with Ponzu dressing; Indonesian Gado Gado; and Keraton’s Oxtail Soup for starters. More hearty fare includes the Wagyu Burger, Club Sandwich, and Exquisite Chicken Wrap along with Keraton’s Calamari and Kentang Goreng. Archipelago selections include Satay Lilit Kintamani; Sayap Ayam Kebong Kacang; and Lumpia Simpang Lima. Pasta dishes include Spaghetti, Linguini, or Penne with a choice of fresh sauces, or Risotto with seasonal vegetables. Main courses include Nasi Goreng Istimewa; Ayam Bakar; and Australian Beef Wagyu.
Each evening, guests may unwind at the Keraton Lounge with a selection of signature cocktails by Joseph Boroski as well as a wide variety of premium vodka and single malt whisky.
