Vana Belle, A Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui is located 80 kilometers off of Thailand's southern coast in an unspoiled corner of the world known for its borderless ivory beaches and cerulean waters. Vana Spa is inspired by the mythical legends of Thai culture, with a design that evokes the mystical Himavanta (pronounced “himmappan”) Forest. Offering four private treatment rooms, relaxation areas and steam facilities, the soothing, ethereal ambiance is enhanced by verdant, lush surroundings. Paying homage to Thai mythology’s most virtuous heroines: Manorah, Matthana, Rodjana and Busaba, Vana Spa’s natural treatments and rituals are focused on healing and revitalization, with an emphasis on soothing out the enervating effects of travel and stress. The experience is customized exclusively for each guest utilizing the most premium blends and ingredients which can be enjoyed by individuals or couples in one of the romantic couples treatment rooms. Before or after treatment, Vana Spa also offers guests a state-of-the-art fully-equipped fitness facility.
Guests can choose from a variety of Vana Spa’s signature rituals, which draw from the “kinnaris” and “kinnon-nuas,” beautiful mystical creatures that symbolize gracefulness, peace and serenity. The customized rituals can be enjoyed individually, or with a partner in one of the couples treatment rooms. Manorah’s Radiant Glow Ritual (THB 10,000) is an indulgent three-hour head-to-toe experience starting with a foot ritual and a luxurious gold body scrub. This is followed by a soothing Swedish massage and finished with a re-balancing mask using micronized marine algae and refreshments. Matthana’s Renewing Ritual (THB 8,000) is a 150-minute calming treatment with a foot ritual, a calming salt scrub and lavender white body wrap, and finished up with a nourishing aromatherapy massage. At 3 and one-half hours, Rodjana’s Rejuvenating Ritual (THB 12,000) is Vana Belle’s most indulgent experience. It starts with a foot ritual and Oriental spice bath, followed by a healing Thai herbal compress massage, and Indian head massage and finished with a cold marine facial.
Vana Spa offers a variety of massage therapies that combine the best practices of both Thai traditions and western methods combined with natural essential oils, herbs and spices. Some favorites include the Four Hands Massage (THB 4,500/5,500), a 60 or 90-minute experience performed by two therapists in unison using a blend of Swedish, Shiatsu, Thai and Reflexology rituals. The deep rhythmic movements completely renew the body and spirit. The Uplifting Lomi Lomi Massage (THB 4,000/4,500) is a 60 or 90-minute massage incorporating an exhilarating blend of lemongrass, orange and bergamot oils applied cautiously with palms, forearms, elbows and fingers to restore balance, soothe tension and improve circulation. The Healing Thai Herbal Compress Massage (THB 4,500/5,000) is a 90 or 120-minute experience that enhances the traditional Thai massage with an application of a variety of therapeutic herbs like prai, ginger, turmeric and lemongrass wrapped in a compress, steamed and applied to the body in gentle rolling movements. The herbs help to eliminate ailments, stress and anxiety.
Vana Spa’s body treatments employ natural ingredients from the sea and land that are inspired by the heroines of Thai mythology. Some signature body treatments include the Apricot Seed Body Scrub (THB 3,000), a 45-minute experience that renourishes dehydrated skin with lasting moisture from apricot seed and honey meal; and the Mineral Clay Body Treatment (THB 3,800) is a 60-minute detoxifying and tension releasing treatment that starts with a smoothing salt scrub exfoliation followed by a mineral-rich black clay body mask infused with lavender and rosemary.
Vana Spa facials utilize ingredients and methodologies from Thalgo, the leaders in marine beauty for more than 40 years. With facials for men and women, Thalgo professional treatments draw on the riches of the ocean to find essential elements that rejuvenate the skin. Signature treatments include 60-minute Re-Balancing Mask with Micronized Algae, suitable for all skin types. Utilizing pure, mineral-rich seaweed, this treatment deep cleans while it relaxes and renourishes the skin. The Ocean Men (THB 4,500) is a 60-minute treatment that restores balance and refortifies skin against the aging elements of sun and wind. The Silicium Super Lift Treatment (THB 6,000) is a 90-minute pampering treatment that peels away the years and leaves a radiant complexion with dramatically improved hydration and elasticity.
