Hotel d’Inghilterra Roma – Starhotels Collezione is delighted to unveil its newest addition: the exclusive Spa Suite, which opens this July following a comprehensive renovation completed in Autumn 2024, that transformed its interiors.
This intimate wellness sanctuary represents the hotel’s dedication to offering guests a complete luxury experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the Eternal City and combining the property’s historic charm with modern comforts.
The Spa Suite is designed as a tranquil haven, where guests can indulge in moments of relaxation after a day of shopping, walking or cultural sightseeing in and around the heart of the Eternal City. This wellness retreat seamlessly weaves into Rome’s rich historical city fabric, dissolving the boundaries between past and present with an atmosphere of serene elegance.
The Spa Suite encompasses three distinct areas, each thoughtfully designed to enhance the wellness journey:
Fonti Serenitatis serves as the main Spa Suite, featuring a changing area with bathroom, a relaxation zone with a whirlpool bath, and a double treatment cabin complete with the Smart Steam cabin by Starpool.
The atmosphere exudes a dreamy, serene ambiance defined by soft light and a palette of pale tone; travertine surfaces bathed in a sophisticated play of light and shadow. A plush sofa invites guests to unwind in comfort, encouraging moments of conviviality and well-being while sipping on warm herbal teas, infusions, and flavoured waters.
Camera Gratiae offers a dedicated single treatment cabin, providing a secluded space for personalised wellness therapies. Meanwhile, the Gymnasium is a state-of-the-art fitness area equipped with advanced Technogym machines, including treadmills and stationary bikes, alongside a dedicated zone for yoga and Pilates.
This carefully curated space allows guests to maintain their fitness and wellness routines while travelling, with the option to book personalised sessions with an in-house trainer. The environment, characterised by clean lines and sophisticated materials, evokes the eleganceof Roman palaces.
Travertine, laid in a split brick style, adorns both walls and floors, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and neutral warm tones. This same material features in the large whirlpool bath, reminiscent of ancient Roman fountains.
Glass and golden metal accents, combined with travertine and marble, add a touch of refinement. The original vaulted ceilings harmoniously blend modernity with antiquity. Dark walnut furniture and soft whispered lighting enhance the warmth of the hotel’s overall design.
The Spa Suite offers a comprehensive wellness menu in collaboration with KamiSpa, a brand specialised in authentic Asian massage techniques with a staff entirely trained in traditional healing practices.
Sisley products are used for all facial treatments, ensuring the highest quality care. The menu highlights a variety of different treatments, featuring a unique combination of Thai, Shiatsu and Lomi-Lomi techniques performed using a blend of Asian oils.
Their Signature treatments include Calor Thermalis, a massage with warmgranite stones inspired by ancient Himalayan traditions, Corpus et Anima, a revitalising Thai-inspired massage, or Lumen Scrub, an Indonesian beauty ritual with Javanese coffee. Guests can also combine different treatments and choose among different Spa Packages.

In the treatment room the Smart Steam cabin by Starpool transports guests to a world of fragrances and colours, offering four customizable programs: steam baths, sensory showers, aromatherapy, chromotherapy, and music therapy. The whirlpool bath combines the therapeutic effects of water and massage, promoting improved circulation, detoxification, joint relief, muscle relaxation, and ultimately better sleep.
For those seeking an exclusive retreat, the Spa Suite is available for private bookings daily from 11am to 7pm, allowing guests to enjoy a personalised, intimate wellness experience in a completely private setting in the heart of Rome.
