Sommelier (M/F)

About the job

• Stock and manage wine inventories;
• Analyze sales to make replenishments;
• Advise customers and serve wines;
• Contribute to customer loyalty and development through professionalism

Your main responsibilities:

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be in charge of the following tasks in particular:

• Carry out inventories;
• Receive and control deliveries;
• Manage inventory;
• Create a wine list and update it regularly;
• Analyze sales to make replenishments;
• Take orders and suggest choices according to the dishes consumed;
• Develop a sales policy adapted to customer needs;
• Clean premises and equipment

Education / Experience :

• Initial training: CAP, BEP, BAC Pro, with additional bar training
• Professional experience: 2 years in sommellerie and bar experience would be a plus.
• Foreign language skills: French and English imperative.

Interpersonal and behavioral skills:

• Listen and advise customers according to their needs;
• Be impeccably dressed and physically fit;
• Adaptability and versatility;
• A taste for responsibility and challenge;
• Ability to share knowledge with customers and wait staff.

Technical and functional skills:

• Know how to work with and serve wine;
• Master food and wine pairing;
• Perfect command of the restaurant's wine list;
• Be creative and adapt your offer to the diversity of your clientele;
• Adapt work rhythm to changing flows and schedules;
• Communicate the information required to manage room service;
• Master the use of cash register systems.

The Magic Collection Retreats is a contemporary hospitality project inspired and contextualised, by ART: Aim, Rest, Think. Set in Megève, Forte dei Marmi and Ibiza, three retreats are transformed and revitalised through the collaborative ventures of artists. The Magic Collection Retreats is open to the guests, renewing popular conceptions of luxury through convivial mediums of art, design, and beauty.

The three locations constitute a special kind of place, where guests can literally live art. Artists' works are placed in relation to everyday spaces, and interact with the functionality of the place itself. In this context, the works are stripped of their aura, and become part of everyday experience, accessible to all, in accordance with the philosophy behind the project’s affirmation of art’s non-exclusivity. Art is intended for all humans to experience.
