Rocco Forte’s The Balmoral has been voted the best hotel in Scotland and seventh best hotel in Europe by readers of “Celebrated Living”, the luxury magazine for American Airlines’ Premium Class passengers. The Balmoral is delighted to have retained this prestigious accolade for the second year in a row.
The annual Readers’ Choice Platinum List ranks The Balmoral aside some of the most famous hotels in the world including the George V, Paris and Hotel Cipriani, Venice. The hotel was particularly praised for its award-winning Five–Star Kids programme, which is now offering children’s treatments in The Spa, and elegant Balmoral Bar with its fantastic selection of renowned 18-and 25- year old Glenmorangie scotch.
The Balmoral has enjoyed an exceptional start to 2008, collecting an outstanding 23 accolades in less than six months. Top awards and recognitions include a place on Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List in "The Best Hotels In The World For Location" and “Best Urban Day Spa in Scotland” in their Spa Awards; “Best Hospitality and Leisure Employer Award” at The Springboard Awards for Excellence and also a clutch of five awards at the Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards. The Balmoral’s fine-dining restaurant, number one, was also delighted to retain its prestigious Michelin star for the seventh year in a row.
