Travel Weekly Recognizes Cruise Line with Four Awards
Royal Caribbean International received honors in four award categories at the sixth annual Travel Weekly Readers Choice awards Thursday night in New York City. Among the wins are Cruise Line Overall, Cruise Line Sales and Service, Cruise Line Caribbean, and Overall Individual Best in Cruise Ships for Freedom of the Seas. The Travel Weekly awards are presented annually to industry suppliers considered to have led the way in product and service during the past year.
“Royal Caribbean is very proud to receive these four Travel Weekly Readers Choice awards,” said Vicki Freed, senior vice president of Sales, Trade and Support Services. “The Best Overall Cruise Line and Best Individual Ship awards reflect the dedication of every Royal Caribbean employee to deliver the WOW every day, and we are particularly grateful to the entire sales force and our travel agent partners for helping Royal Caribbean achieve the Best Sales and Service award.”
The Best Sales and Services award reaffirms Royal Caribbean’s commitment to continually elevating its support for travel agent partners and helping them sell cruises and grow their businesses. Many initiatives in 2008 responded to the dynamic consumer demands that agents face, including a new groups booking policy, instant groups booking and management features on CruiseMatch, enhanced University of WOW! and Seminar at Sea agent training programs, and the most recently announced ASAP (Agent Support Action Program).
Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 20 ships currently in service and two under construction. The line also offers unique cruisetour vacations in Alaska, Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, South America and New Zealand.
