The world most luxurious getaway for Hideaways Magazine and the best hotel in the Indian Ocean according to Conde Nast Traveler's Hot List 2009. Diva is appealing, more and more, to travel professionals and to select customers. A fitting acknowledgement for this establishment which opened its doors in 2008.

Diva has just been honoured with the “Hideaways Award of the Year 2008”, bestowed by Hideaways, the prestigious German travel magazine. The award was presented to Johnny Mathis, Diva’s General Manager, at a gala evening hosted at the ITB in Berlin.

Hideaways, a leading luxury travel magazine, specializes in presenting the world’s most beautiful hotels and destinations to its readers and has a large worldwide audience of connoisseurs and premium travellers. This award was bestowed, in the past, on the One&Only Royal Mirage of Dubai and also on the Prince Maurice Hotel.

Better yet, the renowned Conde Nast Traveler has announced its 2009 Hot List. Of all the hotels in the Indian Ocean, Diva is in first place in this ranking. The Hot List is compiled based on the choice of professionals Condé Nast.

Several criterias are used: the design, ambience, food, among others. Condé Nast was impressed with the design and feeling of space that one feels at Diva. A feeling that the judges did not find in other resorts of Maldives. The excellent level of the six restaurants Diva also made a difference. The editorial team considers that the island Didhoonolhu is big enough for honeymooners to find an intimacy. It recommended to its readers to book the Beach Villas. Condé Nast Traveler, with its 84,000 prints, remains the most prestigious travel magazine of the world.

Diva has also received the World Hotel Award, an award founded by Patrick Rosenthal, journalist and international expert traveller.

With its unique architectural design, its six restaurants, five room categories and spas located over water as well as on the ground, Diva incarnates a new definition of discreet luxury and comfort.
