Tilman J. Fertitta, Owner, Chairman and CEO of Landry's, Inc., parent company of the Golden Nugget Las Vegas and Laughlin, announced today that Fertitta Entertainment completed the acquisition of the Trump Marina Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
"We hope to revitalize the Marina District area with our transformation to the Golden Nugget, much as we have helped rejuvenate downtown Las Vegas with our Golden Nugget concept," said Fertitta. "The Golden Nugget has strong brand recognition, especially in Atlantic City, and we look forward to introducing our world class version of this product to the market."
DURING THE GOLDEN NUGGET ATLANTIC CITY RENOVATION PERIOD
Extensive transformational renovations to the property have already begun to give it a fresh modern look, including improvements to the building facade, the addition of the acclaimed Chart House restaurant, two new temporary bars and lounges with live entertainment, and four totally updated model guest rooms. Soon to come, the high energy Rush Lounge and a unique new After Hours Bar will complement the poker room, race book, keno room, spa and renovated showroom complete with plush, theater style seating. The Red Room will be the newest hot spot in New Jersey and the ultimate place to see and be seen starting Memorial Day weekend. For those who want to enjoy the outdoors, an innovative H2O Pool and Ultra Lounge will offer all season hot tubs and fire pits to deliver an exhilarating experience unlike anything else available in Atlantic City. The Deck, which opened for the season on May 20, will turn up the volume on live entertainment offering guests an opportunity to catch live music right over the Marina. The updated rooms and suites will provide luxurious accommodations for the Golden Nugget guests. High end retail boutiques will round out the resort experience. All improvements are expected to be completed late fall of this year. This transformation to the Golden Nugget, the only casino with a full service marina, will continue the conversion of Atlantic City to a premier resort destination.
Building on The Golden Nugget's tradition of dining excellence, three of Landry's, Inc.'s established signature concepts will be included in the new building: Chart House, which opens on May 26 overlooking the marina and marks the 30th location nationwide; Vic and Anthony's, a world-class steakhouse; and Grotto, a trattoria-style restaurant featuring fine Italian dishes. Other award-winning restaurant concepts including Red Sushi and Lillie's Asian Cuisine and Noodle Bar will also open on property.

The Golden Nugget Atlantic City will serve as a premier resort destination, offering guests 740 rooms and suites. The entire property is currently under renovation and will take on a fresh, modern look to include a high-energy casino featuring the most popular slot and video poker machines, table games, race and sports book, and poker room; nightly entertainment, new bars and lounges, stylish retail offerings, as well as Landry's signature world-class restaurants such as Chart House and Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse; a luxury spa and salon; and H20 poolside lounge. New owners, Landry's, Inc., will introduce first-class accommodations, exquisite dining options and fun-filled entertainment venues unlike anything else available in Atlantic City, with all renovations slated for completion by late Fall, 2011. The Golden Nugget has already established strong brand recognition worldwide with locations in both Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV.
