Adare Manor, located near the city of Limerick close to Shannon International Airport and adjacent to charming Adare Village with its storied thatched-roof houses, has been named to Condé Nast Traveler's 2012 Gold List of the “Best Hotels & Resorts in the World.” One of western Ireland’s most exclusive five star castle hotels, Adare Manor placed in Condé Nast Traveler's ‘Best European Hotels’ category. The historic property was simultaneously named to Condé Nast Traveler's 2012 Platinum List, which includes properties that have achieved the Condé Nast Gold List for five consecutive years.
Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List of the best hotels and resorts in the world is drawn from their annual Readers’ Choice Survey. Updated annually, the Survey is a global tally of more than eight million votes cast by the savvy travelers that make up the magazine’s readers.
Entries into the survey include the edited comments of readers and are intended to reveal a property’s character rather than to catalog its facilities. Properties in the Readers’ Choice Survey are scored on select criteria, including Rooms, Service, Food, Location, Design, and Activities. To qualify for inclusion in these rankings, a property had to receive a required minimum number of responses.
The Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List reflects the combined opinions of Condé Nast Traveler readers, rating the hotels, cities, and islands they visited within the past year.
