French hotel groups responded to the invitation launched by Paul Pécriaux, CEO of Lemon Grass Events and organizer of the 10 km des Étoiles. Accor, Four Seasons and Hyatt, as well as hotel schools such as Médéric, and luxury groups such as Ladurée and LVMH, put on their sneakers for the sixth edition of this race, created in 2018.

“The aim is to offer an event where teams from the hotel and catering sector can do some team-building, through a wonderful course in the heart of Paris, with a round trip, which allows teams to cross paths and encourage each other,” enthuses Paul Pécriaux, contacted by Journal des Palaces.

The race, which started opposite the Louvre Museum, runs along the banks of the Seine, allowing runners to take in the sights of the capital, such as the Concorde obelisk and the Eiffel Tower.

The 10 km des Étoiles also fulfils a solidarity objective: “We were proud to support the Laurette Fugain and Antoine Alléno associations, donating 1 euro per participant to each of them. We also supported the Tout le monde contre le cancer association by offering them visibility and a place in the Start Village to set up their foodtruck, with the Executive Chef of the Ritz in the kitchen, Jérôme Legras".

The operation was a resounding success, with all available bib numbers snapped up a month before the closing date for registrations. Paul Pécriaux has even bigger plans for the 7th edition, to be held in March 2025: “We're aiming for 6,000 [participants] in 2025. The Village will certainly change location to have more space and welcome more people”. Registration will open in early September.
