Two of the world’s premier independent hospitality brands have joined forces as Madrid-based NH Hotel Group selects Preferred Hotel Group as its exclusive partner for the launch of NH Collection, a new premium brand of hotels and resorts in iconic business and leisure destinations that is at the heart of NH Hotel Group’s new strategy and vision. Under the agreement, Preferred Hotel Group will provide sales, marketing, and distribution support to 20 NH Collection properties: 14 hotels and resorts across Spain, Italy, Mexico, and Argentina are under immediate representation of the Preferred Hotel Group family of brands, and six additional hotels located in Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands will join in early 2015.

With a goal of supporting the NH Collection brand’s debut into the upper-upscale segment, the global partnership is designed to allow participating NH Collection properties to leverage Preferred Hotel Group’s extensive sales capabilities in the corporate and luxury leisure sectors. Providing access to its established network of sales professionals located in nearly 40 offices worldwide, Preferred Hotel Group will support NH Collection in reaching key feeder markets outside of mainland Europe and drive incremental revenue to every participating property.

The initial 14 hotels and resorts will join Preferred Hotel Group’s Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Preferred Boutique, and Summit Hotels & Resorts brands:

• Spain: NH Collection Madrid Palacio de Tepa, a member of Preferred Boutique; NH Collection Madrid Paseo del Prado, a member of Preferred Boutique; and NH Collection Madrid Abascal, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts

• Italy: NH Collection Venice Palazzo Barocci, a member of Preferred Boutique; NH Collection Florence Porta Rossa, a member of Preferred Boutique; NH Collection Genoa Marina, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts; and NH Collection Turin Piazza Carlina, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts

• Mexico: NH Collection Guadalajara, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts; NH Collection Monterrey, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts; and NH Collection Santa Fe, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts

• Argentina: NH Collection Buenos Aires Jousten, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts

Three luxury hotels that had pre-existing relationships with Preferred Hotel Group – Hesperia Madrid (Spain) and Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa (Sicily, Italy), members of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, and Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi (Italy), a member of Preferred Boutique – have been brought into the NH Collection portfolio and are included in the global agreement.

“NH Hotel Group’s decision to partner with Preferred Hotel Group from the outset of the NH Collection launch is testament to our strength in key markets and success in executing innovative global strategies,” said Susan Devine, Executive Vice President of Europe for Preferred Hotel Group. “Preferred Hotel Group and NH Collection share a vision of what defines luxury hospitality to today’s traveller. We are pleased to align with this progressive company and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”

“With a strong foothold in key markets, especially across the Americas, and a proven track record of successfully supporting some of the world’s finest luxury hotels and resorts, Preferred Hotel Group is the ideal partner to support NH Collection’s entry into the luxury hospitality sector,” said Rufino Perez, Chief Commercial Officer. “This new brand will offer consumers truly extraordinary experiences that they will want to re-live thanks to world-class products and services, a carefully developed offering, and exceptional attention to detail. We are excited to communicate our unique new portfolio to a wide global audience through our collaboration with Preferred Hotel Group.”

Every NH Collection property that is represented within the Preferred Hotel Group family of brands receives support through a portfolio of business solutions, which include innovative worldwide distribution services, resourceful technology solutions, dedicated global and group sales efforts, and strategic communications and marketing support. Additionally, each property will benefit from participation in Preferred Hotel Group’s iPrefer guest loyalty programme, which attracts repeat guest stays and incremental revenue by offering points redeemable for cash-value Reward Certificates, elite status, and special benefits such as complimentary Internet to travellers upon every stay at more than 500 participating Preferred Hotel Group locations worldwide.

All aforementioned NH Collection hotels are now bookable via Preferred Hotel Group’s “PV” GDS master chain code. More information regarding the specific names and brands of the additional six properties scheduled to join in early 2015 will be announced in the coming months.
