PHUKET, THAILAND – Outrigger Resorts was voted the Best Progressive Hotel Group in the “2015 Annual Travel Awards” organized by China’s “Travel & Leisure” media group.
The selection campaign, which took place in China and overseas in 2015, featured recommendations by a wide range of mostly Chinese readers, surveys by the editors and journalists of “Travel & Leisure” and “Travel & Leisure GOLF.” The results of the selection were announced on the evening Jan. 26, 2016, at an awards ceremony in Shanghai.
Mr. Ming Yue, head of marketing for Outrigger in China, accepted the award on behalf of Outrigger. He said, “Outrigger is a new force in the China market. We are quickly growing Outrigger’s brand awareness in China and letting them know about ‘The Outrigger Way’ in the China market.”
Ms. Silvia Collepardi, the Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort director of sales & marketing, joined Mr. Yue on stage. Like many Outrigger resorts, the property in the Maldives is highly popular with Chinese travelers.
