Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili, the two multi-award winning properties offering Intelligent Luxury in the Maldives, will host one of the world’s finest chefs - Raymond Blanc of London’s Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons - from 05 to 11 January 2008.

During this period, guests will have a rare opportunity to meet Monsieur Blanc at private gatherings and enjoy his culinary excellence at exclusive dinners. There will also be privileged opportunities to learn some of his top trade secrets at intimate culinary demonstrations.

Raymond Blanc’s exquisite cooking has been a major force in Britain’s food revolution over the last twenty years, and as a result he is the recipient of tributes from every national and international guide to culinary merit. In 2007, his two-Michelin star Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons was voted ‘Best UK Leisure Hotel 2007' and ‘Best UK Restaurant’ by Conde Nast Traveller Magazine.

The unique events at Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili will provide guests with the opportunity to experience the very finest cuisine in the Maldives. Innovative dining options at both resorts are designed to make guests’ stays diverse, exciting and slightly adventurous; dishes that allow the East to meet the West in culinary terms, with the highest quality ingredients sourced globally.

During his visit to Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili, Raymond Blanc will prepare two dinners at each resort. Additionally, he will also offer guests an insight into his food preparation, with a demonstration in the relaxed surroundings of the Over Water Bar at Soneva Gili and the Organic Garden Restaurant at Soneva Fushi. All guests will also have the opportunity to meet the acclaimed chef at hosted receptions.

Soneva Gili

5th Jan’08 - Cocktail Reception at South Beach from 18:30 to 19:30. All invited.

5th Jan’08 – Gourmet Dinner, paired with four wines at the Main Restaurant and Gourmet Cellar from 20:00 to 22:30. US$180 per person. Seating: Restaurant - 20 guests, Cellar - 8 guests.

6th Jan’08 – “Trade Secrets” show cooking with reception featuring Sparkling Rose, from 13:00 to 15:00 at the Over Water Bar for 20 guests. US$100 per person.

6th Jan’08 – Dinner at the Restaurant and Gourmet Cellar from 20:00 to 22:30 US$180 per person. Seating: Restaurant - 20 guests, Cellar - 8 guests.

Soneva Fushi

9th Jan’08 – Cocktail Reception at Champagne Bar from 18:30 to 19:30. All invited.

9th Jan’08 – 4 course Gourmet Dinner, with or without wines, at Me Dhuniye from 19:30 to 22:30 for 20 guests. US$ A la carte per person.

10th Jan’08 – 5 course tasting menu with 4 wines at Me Dhuniye from 19:30 to 22:30 for 20 guests. US$180 per person.

11th Jan’08 – “Trade secrets” show cooking for lunch at Organic Garden Restaurant from 13:00 to 15:00 for 16 guests. US$100 per person.
